  Block death

I don't know how many people here have noticed, but some of the MOCs at the old Block death page ar a lot like vignettes! Check them out: (URL) superman one is also a hot contender for the 'tallest vignette' title! I really think these ought to go (...) (20 years ago, 31-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette)

  Re: The Thunderdome

(...) Bravo! Very, very clever! I love the helmet on Mel Gibson's adversary. Brian D (20 years ago, 29-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

Re: 7 Vignettes, some even starring Joe Vig

Thank you all for your comments, it gives me some hints for the next Vignette frenzy :-) I made some pages on Mocpages, too: (URL) Carsten (20 years ago, 29-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette)

  Re: The Thunderdome

(...) Break the deal, face the wheel. Nice super-sized vig, but where's Tina? I guess the best you could do would be an NBA fig in drag. Good work, raggedy man. -Keith (20 years ago, 29-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Re: The Thunderdome

Nice vig. Really bad movie! James Wilson Dallas, TX (20 years ago, 29-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

Re: 3 More Vignettes (with one Joe Vig)

(...) I love that Tar Pit one! I feel bad for the elephant, though -- poor little fella.' But, that'll teach Dumbo to fly so low! ;-P (...) Next, you gotta' make one where Joe removes Vader's helmet at the end of ROTJ. "Joe, help me take this mask (...) (20 years ago, 29-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  The Thunderdome

"Two men enter, one man leaves" in the (URL) Thunderdome>! (URL) A double-vig sized tribute to the movie 'Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome'. We don't need another hero... "Big Daddy" Nelson (20 years ago, 29-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, lugnet.announce.moc, FTX) !

Re: 7 Vignettes, some even starring Joe Vig

(...) I beg to differ--the beauty of "The Plunge" is that the viewer is looking up into the panicked faces of the riders. If the shot is rotated 45 degrees, we lose that immediacy. I suppose the focus could be sharpened, but IMO the composition is (...) (20 years ago, 28-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

Re: 7 Vignettes, some even starring Joe Vig

Hey, very nice. My favorite is probably the alien abduction one as well. I also agree that a picture of the Plunge one where you rotated the vig by about 45 degrees would help make it clearer. I like the concrete shoes one, except for the gray (...) (20 years ago, 28-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

Re: 7 Vignettes, some even starring Joe Vig

Wow. That's an awful lot of vignettes. Must have been a busy (or rather not so busy) weekend for you. I like the UFO one, and the roller coaster one looks like it has potential. I can't tell for sure from the picture you posted though. Steve (20 years ago, 28-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette)

7 Vignettes, some even starring Joe Vig

I just had to try building vignettes. And I must say, it is a lot of fun. Abduction: A gentle stroll through the city, and suddenly E.T. invites you to coffee, or whatever they drink. (URL) for months on an island, then a crate appears in the (...) (20 years ago, 28-Mar-05, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.build.vignette)

  Re: Joe Vig's morning stroll

(...) Actually, I called dibs on making a vignette of a humerous scene of attempted time travel from the movie Napoleon Dynamite. We watched it at Jeramy's house after the meeting was over. Jeramy bought the movie, so we can play that scene for (...) (20 years ago, 27-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, lugnet.org.us.indylug)

  Re: Joe Vig's morning stroll

(...) David, Correction .... he's also wearing a smile :-) You need to get in on this Joe Vig thing 'cause your sense of humor would make for some great vignettes. Brian (20 years ago, 27-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette)

  Re: Joe Vig's morning stroll

(...) Man, that trainhead is wearing nothing but gloves and a chest tattoo. I'm surprised they moderated it. ; ) (20 years ago, 26-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette)

  Joe Vig's morning stroll

Joe had no idea his morning stroll would place him right between two such unsavory characters .... a trainhead and a spacehead. (URL) and the file once moderated: (URL) Darrow (20 years ago, 26-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette)
