LOL, this is available at a dozen well-known LEGO websites including Peeron.
Now you can add those RGBs to your program.

Every website uses different RGB-values (I did too). So which one is EXACT?
(Have you read the post on the HP night bus? Many shades of the same
colour...) Example: Red

It seems silly to me to create a LEGO mosaic... using colors that are far
from the colors of the corresponding LEGO colors. Seems youre laying down a
challenge so I took a few minutes to create this:
|
Not a challenge; you suggested to compare techniques, but a comparison is not
possible if everybody uses different RGB-values.
|
1. Original
2. Grayscale using four of the exact colors you specified (I would have used
the five LEGO grayscale colors to get the best image possible.)
|
It was not my intention to get the best image possible. You suggested to
compare techniques. I only used 4 colours to make the comparison as easy as
possible (you can find other examples on
my webpage, maybe you
should try just black & white).
|
3. Color
image only using the exact RGB colors you specified.
Since we really want to compare techniques. :)
|
My 3rd image only uses black, white, yellow, red and blue (no greys!). Ever
since the start of this discussion, I never had the impression that you really
wanted to compare techniques, you only came up with better (smoother) images,
all using different/more colours than me. Thats why I gave you these examples.
And yet again you come up with a totally different image (with different
colours). In an earlier post I already stated that your images look much better
than mine (regardless the amount of colours used), because I hoped that would
end this discussion.
By the way, have you read the posts from Bob Kojima? He takes my remarks (and
also remarks from others) into consideration and this may eventually lead to an
improvement of his mosaic-program (we all benefit from this).
I will end the discussion here (as civilised and polite as possible) and I dont
expect any reply at all.
|
Ive created some new giant mosaics. Im taking a break from
lugnet.build.mosaics for a couple months to build one. Ill be back when I
have something to brag about. :)
|
Anyway, I do hope to see some nice mosaics coming from you.
