The real problem was that the mosaic was originally assembled in a cool room and then moved to a storefront for display during the fundraiser. The plates heated up, (...) | | | | Ralph, I made a mosaic about that size this year. Here are my suggestions. First, I attached the baseplates to a wood backing (8'x6') using extra strengh liquid nails. If you don't have any bricks/plates spanning more than 1 baseplate, it isn't a problem, but I'd probably do it anyway, just for my aesthetic gratification :) (...)
