I totally forgot about producing stickers! That seems like the best solution
for the body especially if I want tight tolerances. I could probably handle
the helmet similarly with some careful application.
Eric, just so you know, I'm making Macross/Robotech minfigs! I'm gonna
begin working on the prototype for the helmet next weekend. The only
question that remains is how well the molds take. I've never molded parts
this small before.

| (...) Even TLC does it- see the 'figs in the Tine Milk Truck set and the Velux set. The only thing that worries me about the helmet is the curve- I've never really seen a sticker that looked sharp applied to a curved surface. Well, a surface curved (...) | (...) I used a knife to scrape the paint off of a UFO droid head, but that may not work for all paint types and processes that LEGO uses.
