I was wondering how everyone has been removing paint from the minifgs.
Yesterday I took my first stab at it not realizing how well the original
paint is adhered to the bodies.  I tried useing isopropyl alcohol which
works for my other toys but didn't work for the minifigs.  Do I have to sand
it off?

Second does anybody know the specific process Lego uses to apply paint to
the minifigs?  Process name, type of paint etc would be great.  I figure the
process and type of paint for the bodies are different from the process and
paint they use for the heads and helmets(at least it seems that way for the
star wars helmets).

I intend on mass producing a custom minfig body pattern and an accompanying
custom helmet so I'd like all the info I can get.  Thanks.

(...) I used a knife to scrape the paint off of a UFO droid head, but that may not work for all paint types and processes that LEGO uses. Some people use brake fluid or Brasso (I've seen other liquids mentioned, but can't remember them offhand) to (...) (24 years ago, 22-Jan-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

(...) I have used Brasso with a Q-Tip and it's worked just fine. ~Mark "Muffin Head" Sandlin (24 years ago, 22-Jan-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs)
