I took your advice and here's where you can see the dope:

Ahhhh. Thats nice. I REALLY like how you put the plates on either side of
the cockpit - that really gives the effect of the narrow Spitfire cockpit.
Niiiice. Mad props, my friend.

thanks muchly! I appreciate you taking the time to re-visit.

Hey, the landing gear are'nt that bad, it's good.

Well, they actually fold the wrong way-- away from the fuselage, not toward.

You got it right, actually. The landing gear on a real Spitfire DO fold away
from the fuselage. Take a look at the gear on my BF-109.

The Spitfire and the BF-109 both shared the narrow wheel base. The only
modification I would make to the landing gear is pull the hinges a bit
closer to the fuselage.

Huh. Not according to the pics I saw (after the fact). They hinged just
outside the wing guns, and folded in, not quite hitting the fuselage. Now,
I'd seen a number of other variations as well, with undermounted pods and
four blade props etc. .. oh, well. I dig your models, for sure!

thanks again,

stuart

I'm not sure what images you used as reference, but take a look at these: (URL) later variants of the Spitfire may have had the outward folding gear, but in all of the images I can find it features inward folding gear; exactly as you portrayed (...)
