  Re: Rhino Armored Vehicles

Tim, (...) Thanks for the kind words. The Commander and the Protector are pretty much the same with minor differences on the outside, and then obviously different interiors. Any ideas of how to spiff up a command vehicle like this? I don't want to (...) (18 years ago, 13-Feb-07, to lugnet.build.military)

Whenever I see "Rhino" in connection with armoured vehicles I think of one of these from (URL) Warhammer 40,000>: Rhino: (URL) or one of it's variants such as: Predator (Rhino variant): (URL) Razorback (Rhino variant): (URL) Whirlwind (Rhino (...)   Re: Rhino Armored Vehicles

(...) --snip-- (...) Hi Magnus, Great work as usual. I love the way you've used the eye piece in all of them to give them that evil glare. The only one I'm not so keen on is the Commander. I can't help but feel it's lacking a little detail compared (...) (18 years ago, 13-Feb-07, to lugnet.build.military)

  Rhino Armored Vehicles

Hi all, Here is another group of armored vehicles, all based around the same chassis/hull design. They feature suspension, an openable engine compartment, a handy rear door, and a pair of vicious-looking eyes that I've been meaning to use for a while (...)   Imperial Airboat and Launcher

(2 URLs) BS> (URL) Flickr> (URL) Hi all, Presenting the Berlin launchpad for Tsar Alexander II's Imperial Air Navy. I haven't done any "steampunk" in a while mainly because I'm a (near) total pedant when it comes to viability of the designs. (...)   Re: F-15E Strike Eagle

(...) Hi Magnus, I myself don't really mind the studs, but indeed, replacing plates with tiles on the intakes would probably look good. I'll see whether I can find the right parts. As I wrote in another message in this thread, the nose was (...) (18 years ago, 31-Jan-07, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: F-15E Strike Eagle

(...) Hi Dave, My love affair with the Jolly Rogers' Tomcat started a long time ago as well. As a child I had a model kit of this same aircraft. I've had a LEGO Tomcat ever since I was a teenager and while I changed its markings over time, the Jolly (...) (18 years ago, 31-Jan-07, to lugnet.build.military)

Mladen, (...) Thanks, I somehow wondered if you'd get a kick out of this! (...) I suppose another problem might be that since the guns are off-centre, the recoil would jerk the turret to the right or left a bit, which could be uncomfortable for the (...)   Re: F-15E Strike Eagle

(...) I know nothing about aircraft, but I do know this model is fantastic! Lots of excellent building techniques. The cockpit and landing gear catch my eye right away, as to the different layers that make up the wings. Another stunning replica from (...) (18 years ago, 30-Jan-07, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: F-15E Strike Eagle

(...) It looks excellent! I'm a big fan of the windshield, how did you make it? Is it stiff plastic or flexible? (Yes I'm considering making a custom windshield for one of my own mocs) Nice work on the landing gear also. Have you ever tried studs (...) (18 years ago, 30-Jan-07, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: F-15E Strike Eagle

Ralph, Very nicely done (again)! You've used limited but helpful SNOT techniches and come away with a great model. The nose especially is just beautifully done, and I like the missile designs. And you've clearly come up wotha very smooth way to fold (...) (18 years ago, 30-Jan-07, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: F-15E Strike Eagle

Your design rekindles some sweet memories of watching eagles take off doing a 90 degree climb with afterburners. Every detail is perfect on (...) (18 years ago, 30-Jan-07, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: F-15E Strike Eagle

I'm not much of a painter, so the model kits rarely turned out quite the way I wanted them to, so actually building planes with LEGO was a (...) (18 years ago, 30-Jan-07, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: F-15E Strike Eagle

Hey Ralph, VERY impressive! As a younger man, I was very into plastic model kits of jet fighters, and the F-15 is still one of my faves. I can tell it is one of yours too! The attention to detail throughout is superb, especially on the angle of the (...) (18 years ago, 30-Jan-07, to lugnet.build.military)
