Ralph,
I grew up very close to Langley AFB, home of Tactical Air Command and the first
F-15 squadrons. Your design rekindles some sweet memories of watching eagles
take off doing a 90 degree climb with afterburners. Every detail is perfect on
the model. If this were a kit from LEGO, I would have to order enough for my
own LEGO squadron. The dark color scheme highlights the model. There is nothing
on that model that I would change or can think to improve.
Dave is right about the red, white and blue color scheme for the new LEGO plane,
It reminds me of the old patriot jet #6331. I think I have about ten of them
buried in a box in the basement. I tried to change out some of the colors to
build a fighter plane out of the set, but gave up on the project. Of course now
there are a lot more options with the new parts and colors. I may have to dig
them out.
Again, thanks for sharing your model of the F15E. I have enjoyed all of your
models and see them as an inspiration and standard for the rest of us.
