Nice little tank! I think you can probably play around with some 1x2x1 thinwalls and actually get a minifig in the turret hatch. The Japanese did actually make some nice looking armor, but for some reason I can't fathom, never made it to mass (...) (22 years ago, 27-Jul-02, to lugnet.build.military)

Hi everyone, I got a bug in my ear this evening to fool around with trying to recreate one of those tiny Japanese light tanks. It's really much more fragile than it looks, though: forming those plate hinges into inward-pointing Vs around the blades makes the shape flexible when attached but incredibly sensitive to knocks against any of the blades. Chris, you did that nice looking Spetnaz SOF Hind that was posted a while back on brickshelf right? That MOC, along with the afore-mentioned canopy parts, were my primary inspiration to try and tackle the Hind. The 5 bladed rotor mounted no your (...) I just completed my D-44 Landing Barge model, you can see it here: (URL) wanted to build a really large craft capable of transporting two APCs. I used Technic half pins and plates to form the sides. The JSF cockpit piece is perfectly suited to the Hind IMHO, I really like the front half of the model, although the tail seems too chunky to me, I like the missile tubes under the wings, very clever idea (...)
