  MOC: Red Wolf Fighter, Falconesse

Hello, lego fans. After writing the next chapter in my science fiction story, I decided to build a model of my main character's signature ship, the Falconesse. The Falconesse is based on an earlier attempt of mine for an air to air combat fighter, (...) (22 years ago, 18-Jun-02, to lugnet.build.military, lugnet.space, lugnet.announce.moc)

  Re: Churchill VII tank

More stuff on brickshelf today. I think I'm over my WW2 binge for now. (URL) items include: *My treadless version of a Sherman M4A1 (looks more like a T-34 turret, but oh well). * An 88 gun * A German transport/towing truck, based on a Mercedez Benz (...)   Re: Churchill VII tank

(...) Pitsco-Dacta buy myself, as I'm tired of having just the artic and techniq treads. Thanks, George (22 years ago, 18-Jun-02, to lugnet.build.military)

  Churchill VII tank

Hi all, Noticing a plethora of great WWII tanks and vehicles by fans, I also noticed a big gap in the arsenal: allied tanks. To wit, my version of a British close support tank, the Churchill Mk VII. (URL) tank, historically, features 152 mm of (...) (22 years ago, 17-Jun-02, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: HMLS Snottler III

(...) Thanks for the comments, Bryce. A VLS ... hmmm.... I could probably squeeze a system in... I'll definitely have to consider that before the next outing. Cheers Richie (22 years ago, 13-Jun-02, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: More Military Aircraft on the way.

(...) Hey Mikey, it's very gratifying to me that someone with up close, first hand experience with the genuine article enjoys my MOCs. Thank You Very Much. If you're familiar with the CAD program MLCAD, I'd be more than happy to send you the .dats (...) (22 years ago, 12-Jun-02, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: More Military Aircraft on the way.

Bryce: VERY impressive! I'm active duty Navy with experience working on F-14's and I can tell you that your models are dead-on. I really like the Tomcat's engines and the armament on both aircraft. I'd love to get my hands on the instructions for (...) (22 years ago, 11-Jun-02, to lugnet.build.military)

(...) <snipped> (...) Wow. Uh...no..it was 2 hours plus commercials. So a lot of it was clearly deleted. (...) That was a great line, I loved that one too. :) (...) Well..I wouldn't call it wierd.. I thnk it just goes with the territory. Job (...) (22 years ago, 11-Jun-02, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Avro Arrow Movie

(...) I have the original Canadian aired version on 2 VHS tapes. It was shown across 2 nights, each night was 2 hours, for 4 hour total viewing. I don't have 2 VCR's to 'dub' tapes, but would be willing to look into doing something if there's a (...) (22 years ago, 11-Jun-02, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Avro Arrow Movie

(...) Bryce, Very much so! I really enjoyed the movie, and while I'm sure (as always) there were a lot of "Hollywood-ized" bits... the movie left me in amazement. If Canada had not listened to the U.S. strong arm political tactics, etc... and if (...) (22 years ago, 11-Jun-02, to lugnet.build.military)

Johnny Thunder, Gold, US Cavalry, and Old Steamer #27!!

I was wandering through the Lego trains pages today, & came across the Johnny Thunder building challange, so here is my scene... (URL) Thunder was to deliver the gold to the US Cavalry, they met, here in the woods. Old Loco #27, a 2-4-0 steamer, (...)   Re: HMLS Snottler III

Hey Richie, that is a really impressive warship you have there. It's easily one of the finest Lego surface combatants that I've seen (right up there with Richard Parson's Escort Carrier and Mattias Martensson's Fletcher) and it's even more (...) (22 years ago, 10-Jun-02, to lugnet.build.military)

(...) I also understand that a meat inspector has just flown into Sydney to join the Snottler to ensure the crew receive top-quality meat to keep them fit and healthy. Kerry (22 years ago, 11-Jun-02, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: HMLS Snottler III

(...) Thanks! You can't beat SNOT building for flowing hull profiles, although it doesn't seem as good for wide ships as it does for narrow. By stepping the plate offsets (ie 1 stud, then 2, then 3, then 4 or 1,1,2,2,3,3,4,4 etc) you can simulate a (...) (22 years ago, 11-Jun-02, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: HMLS Snottler III

(...) It's certainly large, but it's 'in proportion' rather than 'to scale'. The hangar is a bit oversized compared to our ANZAC frigates, but not overly so. (And the real ones have hangars for side by side helicopters in any case!) I was pleased (...) (22 years ago, 11-Jun-02, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: HMLS Snottler III

Well it's official, SNOT building can do just about anything! Snottler III is great -- the bow flare is especially well handled, I think. She really has the feel of a modern warship, and she's of a good relative size for one too. Brilliant work (as (...) (22 years ago, 10-Jun-02, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: HMLS Snottler III

Aye, aye...she is a real beauty!! What an amazing piece of work...the detailing, the incredible thin but flowing hull profile and the helicopter w/hanger....that's just too cool for this Canuck. Incredible job...would have been a treat to see first (...) (22 years ago, 10-Jun-02, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Avro Arrow Movie

Hey Joel. I recently caught The Arrow on late night TV a few weeks ago (about a month or so after the discussion about attempting to build a Lego version) so I find it interesting that the movie has seemingly appeared out of the ether not once but (...)   HMLS Snottler III

Ahoy! I've uploaded some pics of the third in my line of SNOT hulled naval ships, this one is a modern Guided Missile Frigate, fully kitted out for modern warfare other roles. It was enveiled at LUG'OZ 2002 on Sunday. Blockade enforcement and Border (...) (22 years ago, 10-Jun-02, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.pirates, lugnet.build.military) !
