  Re: Pain Made Tangible

Perhaps a moment of silence, followed by Taps, is in order? I'd suggest a 21-gun salute, but it looks as if that's what did her in to begin with ;) -s (...) (22 years ago, 8-Apr-02, to lugnet.build.military)

  Pain Made Tangible

Hi! Great googly moogly, it's the incredible disappearing ship! (URL) 31 pictures; go in sequence (they don't list that way, sorry). If I can figure out how to make a slideshow, I'll do that eventually. The "joy" sequence must await a good (...) (22 years ago, 8-Apr-02, to lugnet.build.military, lugnet.boats, lugnet.pirates)

Re: New MOC: Mi-24 Hind-D SOV (Special Operations Variant)

Very nice, Chris! I've been toying with the idea of building a Hind for some time now, and hopefully will get around to it by the summer in time for Brickfest. I don't know about that five bladed propeller, I'm tempted to just make it a fourbladed (...) (22 years ago, 8-Apr-02, to lugnet.build.military)

  New Lego color

Hi guys and girls. Any of you who follow the Star Wars line might already be aware of this, but Lego has a new color they are using in 7153 Jango Fett's Slave-1. Its a navy/dark blue that when I saw the pieces just SCREAMED out to be used in a late (...) (22 years ago, 7-Apr-02, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: That's quite an extensive backstory you've got there...

Building in the passenger capacity was fairly easy; the passengers themselves were the real surprise. Hasn't anybody else used M-Tron backpack harnesses to give minifigs customizable carrying capacity? The Adventurers packs were a beginning, but I (...)   That's quite an extensive backstory you've got there...

...but it goes well with your well done Hind. I like how you incorporated the passenger carrying capacity of the Hind (a feature that I believe is rarely used in real life) to make an all purpose SOF Battlewagon. Also, your use of the 2x2 round tile (...) (22 years ago, 6-Apr-02, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: New BattleSpace MOC - Cyclone Anti Troop Tank

(...) Hi Jason. Thanks for the comments. A lot of work went into it so I'm glad that I got some positive feedback from everyone :D Zac (22 years ago, 5-Apr-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.military)

Re: New BattleSpace MOC - Cyclone Anti Troop Tank

(...) Thanks, Jon. It was getting the detail perfect that was the real killer in this model! But it's nice to know that one of my models partly inspired you - usually it is more like the other way around! :D Zac (22 years ago, 5-Apr-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.military, lugnet.loc.au)

Re: New BattleSpace MOC - Cyclone Anti Troop Tank

(...) Hi Gill, I agree muchly. Building MOCs is all about building your design to perfection - no matter how tough it gets. And the toughest part on this model was doing the fine detailing without going overboard with extras! It actually sat on my (...)   Re: New BattleSpace MOC - Cyclone Anti Troop Tank

(...) Thanks Alexander. I wanted to do a much larger urban pic but most of my bricks were tied up in models. I did discover some interesting things about building scenes like that, though...   New MOC: Mi-24 Hind-D SOV (Special Operations Variant)

As you can probably tell from the relatively austere photos, I'm not quite finished with this model; the tail profile and engine block still need some work, along with the mundane rifles and fanciful 30mm gunpod, but I've made enough progress that (...)   Re: New BattleSpace MOC - Cyclone Anti Troop Tank

This is a great little tank. Very small, intricate and detailed. This and Gil's ETV have made me start on one of my own. :-) Great work. -Jon -- | The Galactic Shipyard - (URL) My Lego Creations - (URL) Attack of the Bricks - (URL) Soden" (...)   Re: New BattleSpace MOC - Cyclone Anti Troop Tank

Zac, If there is one thing I love in MOC's, it's compactness and this is definately a superb example. The full funciton of the track, turret and still enough room for a driver...a tough build indeed. Looks great! Cheers, -G (...) (22 years ago, 5-Apr-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.military, lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: Heavy Missile Truck

(...) Wow Jeff, a semi space model. I'm impressed! :-) The turrets are cool, especially how they tuck away smoothly. I'll be encorporating that technology in a future starship... gee Jeff.. another use in space :-D Gosh Jeff... you build as if Space (...) (22 years ago, 3-Apr-02, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Heavy Missile Truck

(...) Hey Jeff! That's a pretty cool model you have there. It reminds me of the older style type building. And I like the minifig sitting in there... very cute. It's neat how the turrets? fit snuggly back into the vehicle. Lets just hope you don't (...) (22 years ago, 2-Apr-02, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Heavy Missile Truck

I like it. Its cute and deadly. As I said before I like the upside down tipper bucket. I know its a borrowed idea but it works well on this. I love the missile batteries that pop out and hide cleanly away. I'm sure this has also been done before but (...) (22 years ago, 2-Apr-02, to lugnet.build.military)
