  Re: Battleship Project...

(...) I used to make custom kits, so I bought a lot of stuff on clearance to get the parts I need. I sold off the excess via Bricklink, but kept most of the gray bricks and plates. My collection mainly consists of monochrome colors. I did buy a LOT (...) (21 years ago, 23-Jan-04, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: P-51D Mustang with invasion stripes

(...) Thanks Douglas The D-day invasion striped version is my favourite as well. I will try to make a couple more in other colours as soon as my Bricklink deliveries arrive.   Re: P-51D Mustang with invasion stripes

(...) snip The photos look event better than the cad images.... I like the way you were able to incorporate the easily personalizable nose-art & insignia. I like the one with invasion strips the best. drc (21 years ago, 17-Jan-04, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Battleship Project...

  Re: Battleship Project...

(...) Dan, The ship is nice and all, but I think I'm more stunned by the size and shear patience to build that (bridge, display stand, coffin, Wall of China) underneath it. Aaron S (21 years ago, 15-Jan-04, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Battleship Project...

(...) Wow, that is really cool. My guess is that it is BB55 North Carolina circa 1943-1944. I can't wait to see it is finished. Looks great so far. I like the lines of the bow and the turrets. The 5-38 turrets look great. The dazzle cammoflage (...) (21 years ago, 15-Jan-04, to lugnet.build.military, FTX)

Re: P-51D Mustang with red cowling

(...) Wow, that is a really good MOC. I think it is really interesting how both of our attempts take such different approaches & compromises to modeling the P-51 and yet both pull it off quite well.
