Re: MOC: German WWII halftrack and armoured car

(...) As far as the concentration camp models- I personally approve. They were NOT meant to be toys- they were meant as a serious statement (at least as far as I could tell). They were using something so innocent because of the effect that it has- (...) (22 years ago, 12-Jan-03, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: MOC: German WWII halftrack and armoured car

The intention of my original email was to answer Henry Henkleman's comments that TLC should produce military based sets. He seemed to miss the point that many parents do not like buying war related toys for their young children. I think Star Wars (...) (22 years ago, 12-Jan-03, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: MOC: German WWII halftrack and armoured car

(...) Harvey Thanks for you kind words about my models. I am glad you like them. The scale (6-stud width) make them suitable for flatcar loads as you suggest. I understand that this type of models will not be included in the Official Lego assortment (...) (22 years ago, 12-Jan-03, to lugnet.build.military)

The suit! Wild it is! nifty, compact, hard suit tech. Very cool. I spy handle bars, axle bushings and more. The transport with the shot of the suits are really neat. Some good building to heal the soul. e (22 years ago, 12-Jan-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.build.military, lugnet.space)

oh my goodness gracious. your exosuit and carrier are simply fantastic. well-thought out idea. kinda reminds me of the colonial marine APC (a la "aliens"). glad to see you used gray (gray is our friend) for the color scheme. very military. i noticed (...) Nice job on the Hardsuits! I like your use of the handlebar piece on the chest. The transport is also cool, looks very chunky. (22 years ago, 12-Jan-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.build.military, lugnet.space)

Re: MOC: German WWII halftrack and armoured car

(...) Bulls***. Read up on the First World War and come back with an informed opinion. That war saw levels of brutality and raw horror currently unmatched in any modern conflict. And both LEGO planes mount machine guns. (...) Why should we "follow (...) (22 years ago, 12-Jan-03, to lugnet.build.military)

You are not allown in that thought about the PotMHaPiaM. (nice acronym huh?) Most people think of it as cheating :^) I do too, I just like to cheat and I like the Cheat!   Re: OFW IV "WolfSpyder" and the FCS ESAT "SpyderNest"

Thank You Gil. You guessed right about the Pop Sci issue! It has sort of been my encyclopedia for my new creations. Most of the info I interpreted and rewrote it in my own style from that great source. I also found several informative websites (...)   Re: OFW IV "WolfSpyder" and the FCS ESAT "SpyderNest"

even though i don't like the whole pop-off-the-minifig-...ts-a-mecha thing, i have to say here that the carrier is great. first, the skillful use of tiles and studs with a minimum of exposed studs is very masterfully executed. also, the way the body (...)   Re: OFW IV "WolfSpyder" and the FCS ESAT "SpyderNest"

This is really wild stuff Tony. The amount of research that went into this project is obvious from the first look at it. The backstory on the suit and the technology behind it (I'm assuming that was gleaned in part from that Popular Mechanics issue (...)   OFW IV "WolfSpyder" and the FCS ESAT "SpyderNest"

The Object Force Warrior v4.0 "WolfSpyder" is a new exosuit I recently created. I also made an .mpd of the suit as well as a high resolution set of instructions ready for you to print and build your own! Website with all images, the .mpd, hi-res (...)   Re: MOC: German WWII halftrack and armoured car

I for one support LEGO's policy of not producing modern military themes sets. In fact it kind of makes me uncomfortable seeing WW2 tanks and the like built from Lego. There are not many havens for children from war and conflict in the world of toys, (...) (22 years ago, 11-Jan-03, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Harpy Air Superiority Fighter

Re: MOC: German WWII halftrack and armoured car

Beautiful! Great SNOT work on the half track. The camoflaged version is especially cool. My favorite build detail is the use of the bottom half of a 1x2 hinge on the armored car. I'd never thought to use that element. Bruce (22 years ago, 9-Jan-03, to lugnet.build.military)
