Thank You Gil.
You guessed right about the Pop Sci issue! It has sort of been my
encyclopedia for my new creations. Most of the info I interpreted and
rewrote it in my own style from that great source. I also found several
informative websites detailing the OBJECTIVE (forgot to put the ive in there
the first time!) Force Warrior Program, and The Future Combat Systems
Program, both of which are real live military programs leading the
advancement of military technology for the next 20-50 years.

As for the ESAT SpyderNest, I now plan on totally revvamping the frame and
incorporating a variable height wheelbase design and smaller tires. Most of
the greebles I got from the Stryker Vehicle and I added the anime look too.
The only real visable studs are on the side wing plate, and is only because
I have a VTOL craft in the works that will besigned to carry it simmilar to
the scene is SW Ep II when the Republic Gunship drops the AT-TE in the clone
war.

You question at the end, are you refering to this section?

If so here is how I did it

This is really wild stuff Tony.  The amount of research that went into this
project is obvious from the first look at it.  The backstory on the suit and
the technology behind it (I'm assuming that was gleaned in part from that
Popular Mechanics issue you posted about a few weeks back) has produced a
very intelligent and cogent design IMHO.

However, being more of a vehicle freak the SpyderNest takes the cake.  The
combination of a contemporary amphibious crawler design, 'smooshed' with
what to me looks like an anime inspirated texturing and engreeblement has
produced an incredibly 'realistic' design.  The use of SNOT techniques,
angling thru classic hinge joints and 'visable stud reduction' looks just
wild.  I'm a big fan of this one.  One question....those back struts that
look like tapered SW wings....the open boxes at the end...how are they done
and with what elements.

Looking forward to being on DSL and checking out the .mpd

Great stuff.

Cheers,
-Gil
