Thanks. I'd have to agree with you on the color scheme, but so many of my vehicles are patchwork colors (thanks to the fact that I don't always dig into the LEGO storage cabinet) that I decided to take a que from your building tips regarding color.   My first mech!
 
Well, inspired by the prospect of a "brickwars" event here in New England, I built a first draft of a mech: (URL) still needs more weapons (and that laser arm needs some improvement) but I'm pretty happy with him overall... randy- thanks for the input, glad you liked the models. yeah, the whole sagging joints issue is a tough one. the technic black "friction pins" i've noticed come in two "strengths"- look closely at them and you'll see- some have "ribs" that run the (...) thanks for the tips, i tried attaching to the body of the technic man but as there are no connector on the torso life was hard. 3 failed attempts and i headed down the path of a technic fig mech that has a cockpit instead. my mech (first ever too) (...) I was wondering if you experts and novices out there in the field of building mecha could give a newbie some tips on building mecha out of legos, or if some of you know of webpages that have tips on them (i think i saw one at one point not sure (...) Thanks for the addresses. I'll have to go check those out as soon as I have a chance to, I just got addicted to and online game so I haven't had much time for legos =(. Welcome to LUGNET! You have a nice site design that is really easy to navigate... Your mecha have swell design though try "colour coding" your mecha a little more, but good overall design, I like the one with the treads. I'm not anyone to talk as (...) Thanks for the compliments every one! :) (...) As far as tips go I simply recommend a lot of tinkering and experimentation on the way parts are used. Nothing beats that.
