randy- thanks for the input, glad you liked the models. yeah, the whole sagging
joints issue is a tough one. the technic black "friction pins" i've noticed come
in two "strengths"- look closely at them and you'll see- some have "ribs" that
run the entire length of the pin- these are the strongest. the others have
"ribs" that are only at the tips and middle of the pins. these are better than
the gray pins, but not as strong as the others. also, as per colin guittierez
(sorry about the spelling!) of colin's lego-tech fame, the use of "limiters"
helps a great deal. i tend to use two opposing slant beams, either 1x2 or 1x3 or
varying combos to get motion but "lock" that motion past a certain point, like
on the legs/hips of the bpt2ac. hope it helps! good luck and keep building!

i like the mechs... esp. the joints on the HMM10. I was wondering how you did the joints, because i tried plently times to make a decent mech and 2 things always happen: 1. the legs collaspe under the wieght of the body 2. the arms 'sags' due to the (...) (24 years ago, 25-Jul-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)
