3 New Mecha Models for your enjoyment

I finally got around to uploading images of Fei Yen, and I took some pics of my 2 most recent designs and uploaded them as well. One is based on a Five Star Stories design, I call it Stinger, because it looks kind of wasp like. The other is a (...) (22 years ago, 4-Nov-02, to lugnet.build.mecha) !

  Wrong Url for Fei Yen

Sorry, I messed up the URL for Fei Yen, it's supposed to be: www.brickshelf.com/g...cha/FeiYen -David Thomas Jr. (22 years ago, 4-Nov-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: 3 New Mecha Models for your enjoyment

Hi Dave- no real comments on which transformer to work on next, but I have to point out that Megatron is a mighty fine brick rendition! My lone question would be: is it solid brick or did you decide to make it as hollow (light) as possible? Keep up (...) (22 years ago, 5-Nov-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Wow i thought fatelle was good but then I see your Megatron. That is awesome. And your other mechs are incredibly unique. I didn't know someone who isn't Japanese could make a mech out of lego's that unique.-Semaj (22 years ago, 5-Nov-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: 3 New Mecha Models for your enjoyment

Thanks Dave, Megatron is pretty solid, the legs aren't all brick, but most of the rest is. When building I wasn't conciously trying to lighten him, I tend to build more for strength and rigidity than for weight concerns. I've been toying with the (...)   Re: 3 New Mecha Models for your enjoyment

Glad you like it Chris, I am starting to lean towards Optimus too. He shouldn't be too tough to build, being color friendly to my collection (I have plenty of red, and should have enough blue and white/gray). I should even be able to keep Megatron (...)   Re: 3 New Mecha Models for your enjoyment

Wow...All of those models are simply stunning. The megatron is very VERY well done. I think Starscream would be fun one to do but even cooler would be cyclonus. Optimus is cool and all but there have been many version of him already created and it'd (...) (22 years ago, 6-Nov-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: 3 New Mecha Models for your enjoyment

I think $500 to $600 would be a hard sell, but what I might do is gather enough parts to make a handful of this set, and put them up on ebay to see what people are willing to pay for them. I would set a high enough reserve so as not to lose (...) (22 years ago, 6-Nov-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: 3 New Mecha Models for your enjoyment

Wow! I'm not paying attention! I like the way you used many of the parts on the Stinger. The Fei model is very nice. I'm still trying to determine exactly how the skirt is done, really cool, All sorts of nice details. Now, when I look at your (...) (22 years ago, 6-Nov-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)
