I finally got around to uploading images of Fei Yen, and I took some pics of
my 2 most recent designs and uploaded them as well.  One is based on a Five
Star Stories design, I call it Stinger, because it looks kind of wasp like.
The other is a non-transformable Megatron.

Megatron is just the first of the G1 Transformers I intend to build.  I'm
planning to do an entire series of these.  What do you think of how Megatron
turned out?  I had to give him a gray gun since they don't make some of the
pieces I needed in black.  Other than that, I tried not to compromise on
anything.  I used artwork from the comics from Dreamwave as the source to
build from, and I think this model captures him pretty accurately.  I'm open
to suggestion for the next Transformer to build, I'm kind of leaning towards
Starscream, but Optimus is a "Prime" candidate too.

You'll notice that Fei Yen is pink, just like in the game, but I don't have
pink Lego, I altered the images digitally to acheive this.  This is Fei Yen
from the first Virtual On, not Fei Yen Knight from Oratorio Tangram (VO2).
I like this design better than the more kiddie looking Fei Yen Knight.
You'll also notice that she doesn't stand on her own.  I used mostly the
same building techniques that I used in the Fatalle design, but Fei Yen is a
bit heavier and requires a support stand.  I actually used a bunch of spare
change to give the support enough weight to hold her up.

Stinger is one of my most intricate designs, I packed a lot of detail into
him similar to the Warhammer.  One of the touches I particularly like is the
neck actuators.  I've seen this done as an enhancement for plastic model
kits, and it worked out pretty well using the little minifig stick shifters.

I should have my older stuff (Zaku, Warhammer, etc..) uploaded onto
brickshelf soon, for anyone who hasn't seen some of my older designs.  I
should also be getting some new rendered images of Fatalle before too long.
I'll post again when I have the rest of my stuff uploaded.

As always, let me hear from you.  I'd be curious to see what Transformer
most people would like to see built next.  I would bet a lot of you remember
Transformers fondly.

Hi Dave- no real comments on which transformer to work on next, but I have to point out that Megatron is a mighty fine brick rendition! My lone question would be: is it solid brick or did you decide to make it as hollow (light) as possible? Keep up (...) (22 years ago, 5-Nov-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Wow...All of those models are simply stunning. The megatron is very VERY well done. I think Starscream would be fun one to do but even cooler would be cyclonus. Wow! I'm not paying attention! I like the way you used many of the parts on the Stinger. The Fei model is very nice. I'm still trying to determine exactly how the skirt is done, really cool, All sorts of nice details. Now, when I look at your (...) (22 years ago, 6-Nov-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)
