    Marauder —Travis Dickinson
Hi, Could someone direct me to some images of the Battletech Marauder or the Macross/Robotech Officer Battle Pod (non-lego)? I'm mainly interested in images showing the mecha in motion. I'm working on my own design of the Marauder. The leg I have (...) (24 years ago, 21-May-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

        Re: Marauder —Mark Sandlin
Here are some pretty decent images that were done in a 3D CAD program. (URL) I may make a suggestion, I think your beginning design could use a bit of contouring. The legs you have so far are a bit too straight, IMO. Good luck, ~Mark (...) or the (...) (24 years ago, 21-May-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Thanks for the link. I agree with your opinion about the legs. The MechWarrior 2 PC game version, which is very linear, has been going through my head. Travis Dickinson (...) (24 years ago, 21-May-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

         Re: Marauder —Travis Dickinson
Nothing. It's just that prior to seeing your model I had decided to work on my own design. I still plan on carrying through with this, but I don't want to be influenced too much by other peoples' design; else I'll be wondering what is my idea and (...)         Re: Marauder —Travis Dickinson
Another question about the Marauder. I've found some images, and I know that there are joints at the feet and hips. Is there a joint in between the points and if so, does anyone have an idea of how much articulation is in that joint? Thanks in (...) (24 years ago, 24-May-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

        Re: Marauder —Mark Sandlin
The Marauder is based on the Macross Zentraedi Officer's Battle Pod. Here's a nice pic with some good detail. (URL) a joint at the hip, a short upper leg, and then a joint at the "knee" before the leg comes forward in a long sweep to the ankle. HTH. (...) (24 years ago, 24-May-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

        Re: Marauder —Mark Sandlin
The original VF-1 Valkyrie toys were made by Takatoku toys back in the early 80's. Eventually, Bandai bought the rights from Takatoku and produced some of the later Valkyrie models (like stuff seen in Macross: Do You Remember Love?). After (...)      (...) Speaking of licensing, a big reason why I dislike FASA (makers of Battletech) is their extreme misuse of designs that didn't belong to them...         Re: Marauder —Jeremy H. Sproat
(...) Hasbro simply licensed the toy from Bandai, if I remember correctly. The Bandi logo is visible in several places on the plastic. This was vaguely scandelous at the time, since Bandi was the primary manufacturer for the Go-Bots, the main (...) (24 years ago, 7-Jun-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)
