    better photographic technique —Brian Cooper
So here's an improvement on my photographic technique: (URL) how the plates look more like metal and the detail is crisp. It's still a dark image but it has a far more realistic (almost menacing) quality than this earlier one which looks like cheap (...) (23 years ago, 26-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: better photographic technique —Mladen Pejic
(...) Definitely! I like this image a *lot*! (...) Ah. Well, I'm glad you've finally figured how to solve this problem... Now take more dang pics!!! ;-) (...) Mladen Pejic, over and out! (URL) (23 years ago, 26-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: better photographic technique —Borislav Marinov
(...) Very good, you are getting better and better at this. I must agree with the previous reply though, go and make more images! Personal request, could you please take a shot of one of your Gundams as if a minifig on the ground was taking a (...) (23 years ago, 26-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: better photographic technique —Brian Cooper
(...) It is spiritually a reincarnation and technically all new, in the same way gundams tended to be destroyed and rebuilt with new technology in Gundam Wing. (...) Yes but then it wouldn't be minifig scale. A custom mobile armor unit of some type (...) (23 years ago, 28-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: better photographic technique —Borislav Marinov
(...) Ha ha ha ha! Very well said! (...) How about this: I will try to build a Gundam that is 2 - 2 1/2 ft like a Dark Gundam and you will build a 4ft Gundam like the Zero (or just the skeleton)? Then we can get the Legomaster to finish his 6 footer (...) (23 years ago, 29-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: better photographic technique —Eric Sophie
Yes the Mech-bot is still under construction, it has diven me to the brink of insanity so I have taken a break and started to create some less serious side projects. But let it be known, I will re-engage construction of the Mech-bot! (...) (23 years ago, 30-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Large Mechs (was: better photographic technique) —Borislav Marinov
     (...) That looks great! Neo-Oz (...) (23 years ago, 30-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: better photographic technique —Bryce McGlone
I agree with you Brian. That is a better image. In particular the glare on the triangle wing pieces adds a metallic look while the shadow defines the plane breaks well. Still a very nice mecha. One question: are you "greening in" the eyes? Bryce (...) (23 years ago, 26-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: better photographic technique —Brian Cooper
(...) No they are just green lego. The camera picks up the green very well in contrast with the black. That's sort of the trouble with my cheap camera, it has a selective color sensitivity (perhaps favoring natural hues to make the typical outdoors (...)         Re: better photographic technique —Eric Sophie
Yes interesting, the sheen of the Black with out the look of plastic. That is one awesome looking Mech. Absolutely fantastic! I know what it is about your style now that I'm so drawn to. The way you make smooth connections with plate and slope, (...) (23 years ago, 28-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)
