This change was brought about simply by putting
a translucent piece of white plastic
(i.e a tupperware cover) between the halogen light
and the model to create a more diffuse illumination.
Looks like I'm on the right path.

Very good, you are getting better and better at this.  I must agree with the
previous reply though, go and make more images!  Personal request, could you
please take a shot of one of your Gundams as if a minifig on the ground was
taking a picture at the Gundam?  Please.
Oh one more thing, is 04 an upgrade of B (Black, 02) or a new Gundam?

Keep them coming.

P.S.
I still hope that you will try building a larger Gundam one day.  I think you
will enjoy the challenge since you will have to change your inner skeleton
system to account for the extra weight.
