   Hello Eric,
so this month is a very cheerfull one for the Mecha community. It started
with Mark’s awesome comeback and now you also state that you are still
building too!

I visited Mark’s Photo stream, I was also happy to see his work.
(actually the best photos I have seen of the NWBC 2008, really nice!)
(Amazing work everybody!)

The last Mecha I constructed was the Grelnix, wow, that was 11 months ago. (Fri, 28 Dec 2007)

Bloobit
I really love your Bloobit. It incorporates everything I like on your Mecha.

Thank you, I very much appreciate your feedback. Your last mecha really got my excited to build again.

You once more astound me with the improvements you made on design,
technique and craftsmanship.

I tried to address some design issues that I had on the Grelnix.
Like making bendy toes (a suggestion from a friend) and I made an attempt
to give the Bloobit more of a mid section (rib cage).
Something that the Grelnix lacks.

Bloobit looks much more manlike than all your creations before. The overall
proportions are so harmonious. The color scheme is classic.

Thank you! I tried to watch the proportions very carefully. I still think it
needs just a little bit of height in the legs. But, the parts and function
kind of decided that for me. One thing I would like to point out that I am
particularly fond of, is the Bionicle heads that have a ball joint attached
to them, I used them in the inner thigh/hip splay as a tensioner to help
keep the Bloobit stable. This really improved the side to side stability
along with the shock absorbers in the ankle splay.

There is also a ball joint tension set up in the rear of the ankles,
as well as the knees and spine.

Thanks for shareing, and best wishes from Sandro,
your friend

Happy Holidays to you and your family!
