  Re: Pimp My Mech WINNERS

(...) Yeah, the turnout was about twice what I was expecting/hoping for. And the Mechs were about six times more spiffy. (...) It's a strange tradition that I've always used for my contests at ReasonablyClever.com. I think it came out of a desire to (...) (18 years ago, 11-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Pimp My Mech WINNERS

(...) It was neat - and somewhat frustrating. Next time, I'm going to let myself have a vote as well, or maybe do a "Chris' Choice" award or something. I'm just thankful I had willing victims...er....volunteers to fill out the voting spreadsheet. (...) (18 years ago, 11-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  My Second Original Mech

I apologize for the really lousy pictures. I was experimenting with a camera setting that obviously didn't work. <link=(URL) This is my second original mech. I was inspired by some of the mechs Stuart Immonen did and also a hip design that I saw on (...) (18 years ago, 11-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Pimp My Mech WINNERS

Whoo! I never thought I'd win a something like this... There were plenty of awesome contenders, and it's great to see that lots of folks got involved. (Hey, almost anyone can shell out $5 for a darn spiffy lego set.) It was a bit hard since orange (...) (18 years ago, 10-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Pimp My Mech WINNERS

(...) snipped (...) Wow, some great entries, and I applaud the cool way that you decided on having it judged. I really like your presentation of the winners and the comments, and scores. It's neat to see how none ALEs see the creations. Great (...) (18 years ago, 10-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Pimp My Mech WINNERS

Sorry for the delay in posting this here - I did have the winners posted at my site on the 8th as promised. The turnout was exceptional - 35 entries were received by the deadline (not counting my sample Mech) and things were turned over to a panel (...)   Re: My Bike mecha trouble!!

(...) There aren't too many sites I've found that have a good assortment of Megazone 23 artwork let alone Garland transformation sequences, but here are a couple that may help you: (URL) smaller images use stupid thumbnailing; when the new image (...)   My Bike mecha trouble!!

I've started building my bike mecha but I'm finding it very hard because I cart remember how the Megazome 23 bikes transforms. From the picture I've seen of it its hard to tell how, Does anyone have a link to a lego transforming bike that could help (...) (18 years ago, 9-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: My First Gundam, Aeroforce.

(...) i'm proberly going to use the same scale for my mecha Peregrine (18 years ago, 9-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: My First Gundam, Aeroforce.

(...) Cool. Are you going to stick to the same scale or make a minifig scale Garland? Fradel (18 years ago, 9-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: My First Gundam, Aeroforce.

(...) No, i'm gonna make a transforming bike like the ones in Megazone 23. (18 years ago, 9-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: RX-78-2 Gundam

(...) Really, it's very flattering to see variations of my stuff but it's wearing quite thin, and if you'd like there are plenty of things I haven't already tried (unlike the armor) that would be interesting: (URL) 1> (URL) 2> (URL) 3> Soren (18 years ago, 8-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: My first original Mech - the Minator

Hi Ken. I am really diggin the collapsible leg design. Very clever. I think it would be possible for you to rework the hands so you could have possible fingers. You could use the click hinge design or something similar to Adam Silicott's mechs. F (18 years ago, 7-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: My First Gundam, Aeroforce.

Nice job. Do you plan on making a Z version that transforms too? Fradel (18 years ago, 7-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: My First Gundam, Aeroforce.

(...) I like your model a lot. It's interesting - more than other mecha designs, gundams are very recognizable from their color schemes. This makes for some very good looking micro sized models. Keep it up! Chris (18 years ago, 7-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: My First Gundam, Aeroforce.

(...) In a word, yes. I think my fav pic: (URL) Great detail in a small scale. Mimics some of the Japanese builders out there. Great job. Mark Neumann LEGO Ambassador (18 years ago, 7-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Modlex Titane: Mecha Transformer Skeleton

(...) Wow. Those ARE cool. The plane is a great looking model all on its own! Are those snazzy printed windscreens from Racers sets? I wish the LEGO Company would make transforming models. [thinking...] I guess they have made a few things that could (...) (18 years ago, 7-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha)
