Sorry for the delay in posting this here - I did have the winners posted at
my site on the 8th as promised.
The turnout was exceptional - 35 entries were received by the deadline (not
counting my sample Mech) and things were turned over to a panel of volunteer
judges.
My plan was to have non-AFOL types judge the contest - that way there’d be no
“name recognition” or “current style” issues. To that end, I polled my
LiveJournal Friends List and suckered 6 people into the thankless job of
filling out a giant spreadsheet for me. The results were tabulated and here’s
the results! (Each photo is a link to the full entry)

The Full Contest Page
has the rest of the entries - they’re all worth a look, and each one has been
updated with the Judge’s score and commentary.
Thanks again to all who participated! Winners will be contacted this week to
claim their swag.

Wow, some great entries, and I applaud the cool way that you decided on having
it judged. I really like your presentation of the winners and the comments, and
scores. It’s neat to see how none ALEs see the creations.
Great contest Chris, looking forward to seeing what you come up with next.
