I apologize for the really lousy pictures. I was experimenting with a camera setting that obviously didn’t work.

This is my second original mech. I was inspired by some of the mechs Stuart Immonen did and also a hip design that I saw on these boards. This mech has 26 points of articulation if you don’t count the thumbs. It’s highly posable but a tad on the fragile side as some of the joints are single stud or clip connections. Once positioned it’ll stand all day but it takes a little tweaking of weight (arms) for balance.

I’m really proud of this one as I think it’s got a good deal of SNOT and is well organized in both color and construction. I’m definintely doing some assembly pictures soon so you’ll be able to see how the hips and other things work.

This was made primarily from the X-Wing USC set as that’s where all the white comes from. The arms benefit from some of the click hinge joints found in the AT-AT set as well as some of the AT-AT wing plates and 1/4 circle bricks in the neck. By and large though I think you might be able to make 95% of this or more from those 2 sets.

How am I doing? Making progress? ;)

(...) Yah, but the ftx code needs some work :) (URL) BS Link> Yup, I'd say so. You're getting a lot of the articulation knocked out nicely. Neat work, interesting how you keep track what parts come from what sets, very useful information. Keep it up (...) (18 years ago, 11-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

When I look at this, it makes me think that it should be dancing. I can't think why. I like it. Agility is great, fragility is not so great, but seeing as I can't actually touch it, who cares? I like that tubing 'tache best of all - especially as (...) (18 years ago, 11-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Ok Let's try this again. (URL)Assassin406>> Since, as someone pointed out, the mech doesn't look very feminine I've decided to rename it and post some better pictures. I'll be doing some instructions soon as promised and I won't fool around with the (...) (18 years ago, 12-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)
