I finally completed this mecha. Phew.
Anyways, this is my third posable bipedal mecha. It uses many of the
techniques I developed over the years. Inspiration for it came mostly from
VOTOMS (note the wheels in the heel area) and Front Mission 3 wanzers (just
the overall bulky look). Although I had fun making this mecha, I got a bit
frustrated while posing it. The joints still proved to be too weak for some
of the weapons. Heh, maybe I should stop making guns with such enormous
barrels. :-)
Enjoy!

This mecha is textbook Mladen. Smooth, studless look to it, good, clean looking
detail without being too gawdy, excellent cockpit detail looks like a luxury car
designer did the interior, and enough weapons to be a formidable one mecha army.
My favorite things are the cockpit detail, and the shoulders; I love the way the
textured 1x2 bricks protrude slightly from the plane of the rest of the
shoulder. How did you do that?
My only complaint on this mecha is the hip design. You have the joint that
pivots forward (kick forward) attached to the joint that swings out (leg
spread). This creates a pose which is somewhat unnatural looking; it is much
better to have the swing out joint attached to the kick forward joint, or have
them be the same joint (like a ball joint or a multiaxis click hinge). That
being said, I think its clever how you designed the leg to twist out using the
same 1x4 hinge joint that you used for the other two hip motions.
But thats just a small complaint; I really think this is an impressive creation
by anyones standards.
Cant wait to see more!
Later,
Chris
