New MOC - "Stalwart" Multi-Role Mecha

(URL) Click on Image I finally completed this mecha. Phew. Anyways, this is my third posable bipedal mecha. It uses many of the techniques I developed over the years. Inspiration for it came mostly from VOTOMS (note the wheels in the heel area) and (...) (19 years ago, 22-May-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX) !

Dude I was just running around your site searching for more Mladen and here we go! This is awesome. I really like the clean elegance of the shapes you've used. The wheel idea is cool, but I don't know if their integrated into the feet as well as (...) (19 years ago, 22-May-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: New MOC - "Stalwart" Multi-Role Mecha

Mladen! Great to see a new mecha from you. Clunky, chunky, and clean are the first three words that pop into my head to describe this one. I love the angles on it. The wheels....not so much, but that's really my only problem with it. It just looks (...) (19 years ago, 22-May-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: New MOC - "Stalwart" Multi-Role Mecha

(...) Haha! Thanks Geordan! I'm glad you like the mecha. I was initially thinking about doing it "removable armour"-style, with the skeleton underneath, like you did with the (URL) Visage II>, but that proved too difficult. I agree with your comment (...)   Re: New MOC - "Stalwart" Multi-Role Mecha

(...) Thanks Dave! I like those three words; they describe what I was aiming for perfectly. The wheels do indeed awkward. I guess I should have "experimented" with them a bit more. Thanks again Mr. Johann! (URL) Mladen Pejic> (19 years ago, 22-May-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: New MOC - "Stalwart" Multi-Role Mecha

(...) :^P I've been building quite steadily for the past couple months on that same mecha. I've been working and reworking everything. I'll post some updates again soon. Most of it has just been structural stuff, but I want everything on this one to (...) (19 years ago, 22-May-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: New MOC - "Stalwart" Multi-Role Mecha

(...) -snip- Oh snappage. k, wow. The pics are on par as ussual; great job, so nice to see. Um wow, I like the chest style. Um wow, check the clean look. Um wow, look at the way you make hands. Um wow, check all the things you can attach. Um wow, I (...) (19 years ago, 22-May-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: New MOC - "Stalwart" Multi-Role Mecha

(...) Heh, thanks Eric! :-) Yah, I dig that kneeling pic too. It's the recruitment poster for the "Military" in my universe: THE MILITARY WANTS YOU! Thanks again for the reply, and for plugging my LMHoF thing. Haha, some of the models on that are (...) (19 years ago, 22-May-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: New MOC - "Stalwart" Multi-Role Mecha

(...) I saw the thumbnail on Brickshelf before I saw your post here, and I immediately thought two things: 1. It was yours, without a doubt. 2. The short, thick chest section and big shoulder blocks--looks like a Front Mission Wanzer. I was right on (...) (19 years ago, 23-May-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: New MOC - "Stalwart" Multi-Role Mecha

(...) Indeed you were! :-) (...) Yeah, the feet are too wide and a pointy toe works better for wheels. Maybe I should just use bigger wheel next time? :-) (...) Thanks Kyle! (...) Great! I'm glad it inspired you to build! That's what I always aim (...) (19 years ago, 23-May-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: New MOC - "Stalwart" Multi-Role Mecha

It's good to see you doing more bipeds. Great guns (and that isn't just an expression). The hip joints are neat. The neck seems like a weak point that my eyes are drawn to, like it needs an armored collar, considering the rest of the body looks so (...) (19 years ago, 24-May-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: New MOC - "Stalwart" Multi-Role Mecha

(...) Thanks Brian! (...) Yeah, I was debating that with myself before taking the pics. I had a solution to add some mass to it, but in the end I just scrapped it. Sometimes I'm just more concerned with clean design. But good point nonetheless. (...) (19 years ago, 24-May-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: New MOC - "Stalwart" Multi-Role Mecha

(...) This mecha is textbook Mladen. Smooth, studless look to it, good, clean looking detail without being too gawdy, excellent cockpit detail looks like a luxury car designer did the interior, and enough weapons to be a formidable one mecha army. (...) (19 years ago, 24-May-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: New MOC - "Stalwart" Multi-Role Mecha

(...) Another patented Mladen death machine....just what I wish I had for the plaza. If the Stalwart was a chick, she'd be one of those Jersey girls with a smokin' body but a butter-face....a two or three bagger. Maybe you should have called it the (...)
