Big Bionicle Model - "The Rack" —Bryce McGlone
As some of you know I've been building mostly Bionicle stuff the last couple years. I know it's the lil' red haired stepchild of the Lego community but whatever; I'm sure you can get over it. Anyhoo BZPower (a Bionicle duh fan based website) is (...) (19 years ago, 23-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX) !!

Re: Big Bionicle Model - "The Rack" —David Eaton
(...) (URL) Best. Bionicle. Ever. [1] I still can't quite figure out some of it-- just above the little row of hard-plastic tires in this picture (and all throughout the MOC): (URL) It looks like there's some sort of cord, laced with protruding (...)          Re: Big Bionicle Model - "The Rack" —Bryce McGlone
(...) Are you talking about the tan bits? If so those are wings that you can see through the "holes". If you're talking about the axles those are ball socket (Toa arms) parts fanning out from behind (think ribcage). The cylinder parts are rocket (...)         Re: Big Bionicle Model - "The Rack" —Jas Nagra
Firstly I must say this is one of the most original and awe-inspiring creations I have ever seen. When I saw it on Brickshelf I almost skipped past it, until I saw that it looked like a H.R. Giger sculpt! I love everything about this creation, the (...) (19 years ago, 23-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Big Bionicle Model - "The Rack" —Bryce McGlone
(...) Thanks Jas. It's too cool to have you post up on my topic. Your stuff is second to none! I have a lot or respect for you man! As for the model I wanted to do something totally new. I guess it succeded. Though, as I'm sure you know, I never (...) (19 years ago, 24-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Big Bionicle Model - "The Rack" —Mladen Pejic
WOW! This thing is SO cool! First time that I saw it on BS I was floored. I immediately noticed the Giger influence. It's amazing how close you are getting to recreating his style, and how nicely you are integrating some of your own ideas into it. (...) (19 years ago, 23-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Big Bionicle Model - "The Rack" —Bryce McGlone
(...) Thanks Mladen. I haven't been able to post for over a year and honestly didn't make the effort to straighten it out until Eric got on me about it a bit. I'll be fluttering about now. (19 years ago, 24-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Big Bionicle Model - "The Rack" —Brian Cooper
(...) When I saw this on brickshelf I thought, "almost nightmarish perfection, except they head doesn't quite seem to have the right evil aura". It needs a reworking in the future to do the rest of the model justice, or would that be injustice. (...) (19 years ago, 23-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Big Bionicle Model - "The Rack" —David Simmons
You better watch it, Bryce! Giger will sue your thievin' behind! Jaw-dropping eviliciousness! I hope this thing doesn't come alive at night and try to "pollenate" you! Better keep it frozen in stasis, "it's the only way to be sure!" Dave "Bryce (...) (19 years ago, 24-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Big Bionicle Model - "The Rack" —Brian Pilati
(...) (URL) (...) Amazing. Visual overload. Black MOCs are the hardest to capture with a camera. I would love to see this in real life. (...) Time Restrictions? Is that a joke? Dude you put 60 hours into this MOC. That alone should win you the (...) (19 years ago, 24-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Big Bionicle Model - "The Rack" —Stefan Garcia
Wow...Simply Wow. I can definitely feel the Geiger influence, and the use of pieces in this is beyond inspired. From a distance, I doubt it's recognizable as Lego, and looks more like a ready made sculpture. Simply amazing techniques and design. (...) (19 years ago, 24-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Big Bionicle Model - "The Rack" —Mark Neumann
(...) Yes, well. Let's see if I can enunciate what my brain is thinking. Holy mother of.... I am always particuarily amazed at how closely you get to Geiger's imagery. The Rack proper is a feast. I imagine you got a healty dosage of straw elements (...) (19 years ago, 24-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Big Bionicle Model - "The Rack" —Christopher Snead
(...) <Snip> WOW! This is the most impressive Bionicle thing I've ever seen! Don't think I didn't notice the Onua claws making those helix structures...I remember you experimenting with that when I came down to L.A. You really must go to TAP (...)          Re: Big Bionicle Model - "The Rack" —Bryce McGlone
(...) Somehow that just doesn't seem...right? :-) (...) Yup! Finally got a chance to use 'em. (...) Nope! I'll probably canibalize it in no time. It's taking up too many of my favorite parts.         Re: Big Bionicle Model - "The Rack" —Jeff Ranjo
(...) (snip (...) This is insane. Truly insane. Organic crazyness! Bryce, when you were describing this to me my mind could only get a sense of what you were doing but to see the actual MOC is making my mind melt. I agree with Chris with on sealing (...)         Re: Big Bionicle Model - "The Rack" —Scott Lyttle
(snip) (...) Bryce, You always come up with the most interesting use for Bionicle Parts. Ever since seeing Tortured Soul in person, I've been in awe of Bionicle Part potential. You used 500 claws? Hey, I've got a bunch of black Onua claws. If you (...) (19 years ago, 24-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Big Bionicle Model - "The Rack" —Kyle Vrieze
Wow! The best compliment I could give it is that I bet Giger would like it if he saw it. I read somewhere that he used animal bones and meat under the black rubber in the original Alien costume. Of course, they didn't have Bionicle back in '78, so I (...) (19 years ago, 25-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Big Bionicle Model - "The Rack" —Derek Schin
(...) Bryce, I can just imagine what it looks like in person...it's insane enough in the pictures, and I can tell the pics don't do it justice! You should keep it together long enough to bring it to BrickFest this summer... Derek (19 years ago, 25-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Big Bionicle Model - "The Rack" —Dave Johann
Hey Bryce! Great to see you posting again! As usual, you've pushed yourself harder than anyone could reasonalby expect.
