Dave it's great to see you back at it! These mecha are really awesome... congrats! (...) This mecha is sweet, it looks fantastic, it's smooth, clean, very well executed. There is so much intricate snot you packed in there, awesome. I love that head (...) (22 years ago, 5-Nov-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: 3 New Mecha Models for your enjoyment

Glad you like it Chris, I am starting to lean towards Optimus too. He shouldn't be too tough to build, being color friendly to my collection (I have plenty of red, and should have enough blue and white/gray). I should even be able to keep Megatron (...)   Re: 3 New Mecha Models for your enjoyment

Thanks Dave, Megatron is pretty solid, the legs aren't all brick, but most of the rest is. When building I wasn't conciously trying to lighten him, I tend to build more for strength and rigidity than for weight concerns. I've been toying with the (...)   Re: Optimus Prime (Autobot Commander) : More Than Meets The Eye

Hey you've got competition. Check brickshelf, somebody built a megatron! It doesn't seem to transform, but still wow. You guys need to get those models together for a battle, with trans yellow mace on megatron and a trans orange ax on optimus. (...) (22 years ago, 5-Nov-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Wrong Url for Fei Yen

Wow i thought fatelle was good but then I see your Megatron. That is awesome. And your other mechs are incredibly unique. I didn't know someone who isn't Japanese could make a mech out of lego's that unique.-Semaj (22 years ago, 5-Nov-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: 3 New Mecha Models for your enjoyment

Hi Dave- no real comments on which transformer to work on next, but I have to point out that Megatron is a mighty fine brick rendition! My lone question would be: is it solid brick or did you decide to make it as hollow (light) as possible? Keep up (...) (22 years ago, 5-Nov-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

3 New Mecha Models for your enjoyment

I finally got around to uploading images of Fei Yen, and I took some pics of my 2 most recent designs and uploaded them as well. One is based on a Five Star Stories design, I call it Stinger, because it looks kind of wasp like. The other is a (...) (22 years ago, 4-Nov-02, to lugnet.build.mecha) !

  7163 Fighter Jet and Mecha

Hi All, Wasn't sure if this was the best question for Star Wars, Military, or Mecha folks. I'm interested in building the fighter jet and mecha models on the back of the 7163 box. thanks for the constructive criticizm. i totally agree with you. the legs are a bit stumpy and also have very little articulation. the whole mecha, imo, looks more like a mech than a mecha. that is to say, it looks more mechanical than organic. my (...)
