Re: Question, opinion, help - Claw Hands

Brian, thanks for the reply. I remember this hand!! I remebered the comments about your friends and how strong the hand is. Dang it was good to see that hand again, it was really well done. I have considered making a pnuemo hand, evan at a small (...) (22 years ago, 12-Jul-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Question, opinion, help - Claw Hands

That is quite a problem you have there. The immortal question to follow the easy road, or plow through the boulders (legos in this case) and set the way for those that follow. I myself, not at all new to this exact problem, have little advice (...) (22 years ago, 12-Jul-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Question, opinion, help - Claw Hands

Don't do it! Or if you do, make it look like you didn't! Here's pnuematic humanoid hand, albeit at 1:1 scale. Might be able to scale it down, though. (URL) you have to make a pincher, add extra fingers, even if just for looks. (...) (22 years ago, 12-Jul-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: New here

Heh...I do agree about the name myself (not to mention it doensn't fit the model). It was a suggestion from a friend, and I was such a rush to post the pics. The name shall be changed...any suggestions? I'm definitely up for those =) (22 years ago, 12-Jul-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Question, opinion, help - Claw Hands

Great advice from the DR.!!!! You see through to the quandry. A purely mechanical claw hand would detract from the form I am attempting to create. And while a mildly disguised claw hand would ...ehhh be ok, I'll have to settle on something. The (...) (22 years ago, 12-Jul-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

In lugnet.build.mecha, Eric Sophie writes: <snip> (...) Hmmm... I personally don't think there's anything wrong with claws on a robot.   Question, opinion, help - Claw Hands

Folks, I'm in a bit of a quandry. Traditionally I don't like "Claw Hands" meaning the kind you see on a Submersable Sub or better know as Pinchers or Grabers. My problem: I'm making a Mid-Sized Technic Fig Scale Robotic Mecha. (4ft.tall biped) I (...) (22 years ago, 12-Jul-02, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.robotics)

Announcing 'Nyaneo' - The first ever Land Of Bricks MOCM!!

Hey all, Well, the time has come to officially announce the first ever 'MOCM' award given out by Land Of Bricks ( (URL) ). It was a hard decision to pick the first ever winner of this award but after lots of narrowing down I came up with a MOC that (...)   Re: New here

Hello, I like the Mecha, they are cool, Very cool, I have one problem, I have serious issues with namming your Mecha and Folder "Murder" That's really not right and it bothers me. Namming a creation "Murder" is really a turn off, I would like you to (...) (22 years ago, 12-Jul-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Awwww Yeah, Metal Rex! Fun, nice, cool, I like it. e Legomaster www.mylegomaster.com ===...=== Amazing but true. If you asked me how much Lego I have - I couldn't tell you. Read Lugnet - Build MOC's (22 years ago, 12-Jul-02, to lugnet.build, lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: New here

Michael, Welcome to Lugnet! Great models. I can't give any advice on construction as mecha aren't my thing (I'm a castle guy). On photography, your photos are a little shaded (except the last folder named "Thingies"). Sunlight is great. I personally (...) (22 years ago, 12-Jul-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: new MOC (look inside, it's a surprise)

yeah, the legs are in two parts. however, at the moment I can't get the linkage between the halves strong enough, so they're just kinda fused together for now. I'll revise the legs a little later, try to get them more accurate to the "prototype". I (...) (22 years ago, 12-Jul-02, to lugnet.build, lugnet.build.mecha)

Give me your link buttons, Hoomans!

Heya all, I thought I'd catch the link button fever that most likely died months ago... :-, But since I'm re-writing my website, I figured what the heck. (...) This is an excellent reproduction, Anthony! Give yourself a BIG pat on the back, because you did a most excellent job! The details on the back are my favorite part of this awesome creation, specifically this pic: (URL) (22 years ago, 11-Jul-02, to lugnet.build, lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: new MOC (look inside, it's a surprise)

I just added some detail pics of the cockpit into the directory... they're the "MGRcXX" ones, obviously. I probably could've done a lot more with the interior, but space and parts were rather limited. -Anthony "K Armstrong" <legomech@mac.com> wrote (...)   Re: new MOC (look inside, it's a surprise)

That is pretty sick. Would love to see the cockpit area (if there is one). I'm trying to decide if I like the underside of the plates for the top of that beast. I don't hate it, but I guess I'm spoiled by all the studless tiled Mecha we've been (...) (22 years ago, 10-Jul-02, to lugnet.build, lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Orc, OY!

(...) Yeah, I keep fooling with this leg setup. I think I got it pretty good here though. The legs tilt and swivel at the hip, making it so no matter what the angle of the legs, the foot can stand flat. Also, because of the hip mobility, the body (...)
