New and kinda-new stickfig mecha wallpaper and stuff

Hey all, It's not Gundam, it's not 5 feet tall, and it certainly doesn't use throwbot / buy-o-nickel parts. Nevertheless, here's some quick Jeremy news: I've just uploaded a new wallpaper called "Flight". Enjoy! (URL) new item I'm excited about is (...)   Re: Preview: Prototype for NOM-02

(...) You're using Gundam Project for the pics, right? Well if you are, I have some sad news, The site will be shut down. It makes me so sad, I'm going to cry... Well anyway you can get some good 3-d pics of the RGM-79SC Sniper Custom at (URL) only (...) (23 years ago, 16-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Zero 5 - Ground Attack

(...) The head definitely reminds me of "01", like it was reincarnated into a gundam w/ advanced technology... (...) I sure hope that you keep at least one gundam intact; it would sadden me to know that nothing would remain of these groundbreaking (...) (23 years ago, 17-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New MOC: Turbocycle/Mecha - The Morphosis

(...) Thanks Wilson. The hands were something I wanted to integrate right from the start, but the picture in my head wouldn't work out. I plan on trying different ideas til I get it right. The bike took probably....4 hours or so to build, I'd say. I (...) (23 years ago, 17-Jan-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Zero 5 - Ground Attack

(...) I've found that the throwbot gear boxes eliminate the usual sliding of the worm gear on its shaft, making joints more solid. But the real secret to using them to make a super rigid joint is... nope, can't tell you ;-) (...) Mazinger, Getta (...) (23 years ago, 17-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Zero 5 - Ground Attack

(...) Once I finished my Falcon, my StarWars motivation declined - I'll never build anything related to StarWars again. But there are plenty of mecha themes to try, no reason to stick with one. "K" (23 years ago, 17-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New MOC: Turbocycle/Mecha - The Morphosis

Hey Chris, that's pretty nifty, it looks great in mecha form. It's cool how you managed to use the "mf legs as hands" technique in the small bike. How long did it take you to build that? I can imagine the patience it takes to build a regular bike, (...) (23 years ago, 17-Jan-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New Mech and Hoverthings oh, My!

(...) That's pretty cool. I like the legs and arms, nice detail. (...) I like this as well. Good use of the Bionicle chunks. (...) Pretty neat gun mount/turret/swivel thing. Does it really stay up on its own or do you use some sort of locking (...) (23 years ago, 17-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New Mech and Hoverthings oh, My!

(...) the AA guns (?), and your use of those (damn-crappy) new Technic pieces. (...) the rear is neat. (...) I gotta be honest; I am ***SO*** jealous! Ever since I built my last hov.-tank (the "OrcFish") I have been trying to come up with a new, (...) (23 years ago, 17-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

New Mech and Hoverthings oh, My!

Well, I finally got my new camera for Christmas, belatedly so. Anyway here are my first subjects: A Mech: (URL) HoverBike: (URL) a Hovertank: (URL) not new but revised pics of Titan: (URL) Neumann (URL) of the Snow Leopard Clan (23 years ago, 17-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Zero 5 - Ground Attack

(...) Interesting, I have been toying with the throwbot gear boxes for the past 3 months and I am not happy with the end result. There seems to be 2 to 3 degree freedom of free rotation allowed in the gear because the worm gear is a tad too far out (...) (23 years ago, 17-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Preview: Prototype for NOM-02

(...) Thanks! (...) :) Thanks for the advice. Two-three weeks is not fast at all though, not for a Gundam shell with no internal frame which has limited detail on the outside. As for refining, this is the prototype, then comes 02, then this Gundam (...) (23 years ago, 17-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Preview: Prototype for NOM-02

Whoa! I was NOT expecting that! Hmmmm....looks like it's a race to build the next big thing. (You, me, Bryce). Congrats! Hitting that height and keeping it standing is quite an accomplishment! -Dave (23 years ago, 17-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Preview: Prototype for NOM-02

(...) Thanks, even if I am not sure I deserve it! (...) Sniper, Sniper, Sniper, Sniper! Hey, thats cool! I am thinking of making 05 a sniper MS as well. Perhaps we can have them hitting targets in a friendly competition? (...) (23 years ago, 17-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: New quad-legged MOC: Barghest

James, very nice. saw it already, but it's still nice. btw...if the teeth were chrome, i think it'd look better. i don't know howto do that in mlcad/pov-ray, but i know i've seen it (i think one of Primus Bus' mechs.) nice though. 4-leggers are a (...)   Re: Preview: Prototype for NOM-02

(...) Thanks Stuart! I will try to take and post more pictures by Thursday. I am having trouble agreeing to the huge comment thoug. This guy is only 2 feet, which is only half the size of ZERO and the GG-Mecha towers well over a foot compared to the (...) (23 years ago, 17-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Preview: Prototype for NOM-02

(...) Thanks for the compliments Bryce, know that for you I have a special surprise. At one point of time I felt bored, so I decided to come up with the most wisikel and unstable pair of hip joints I could possibely think of. The sad part is that (...)   Re: Preview: Prototype for NOM-02

(...) doesn't even exist will get so many replys! Thanks to all of you! I am afraid however that once I post more images you will all see why this Gundam is only a prototype which will have to be demolished to build the real NOM-02. (...) Thanks for (...)   Re: Worth looking at!

(...) Yeesh -- they still take up 50% of one CPU on my dual PIII 933 at home. There's totally got to be a better way to get that effect. (Speed of the connection has nothing to do with it, by the way. The image is less than 8k. (23 years ago, 17-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.off-topic.geek)
