  More mecha stuff...

Okay, last time this week, I swear! Presenting the Kreigmacht: (URL) theme represents the last major Lego skeleton in my closet right now, minifig or otherwise. ;-) Some of the models may look familiar; I took inspiration from many sources for (...)   Re: Check out these mecha

(...) Cool, thanks, Karim! I've been checking your Web page every day now; can you tell I can't wait? :-, Cheers, - jsproat (25 years ago, 11-Feb-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA! I LOVE the ninja fight scene! And the ninja on on horseback! That's awesome! DaveE (25 years ago, 11-Feb-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Mech terminology

(...) is (...) That's how I've always used it. One mech, several mecha. FASA is welcome to come and try to sue me. "MECH MECH MECH!" Anyone with as poor a record of respecting IP as FASA has little ground to stand on. Besides, IMHO, FASA (...) (25 years ago, 11-Feb-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Mech terminology

(...) Oh. I thought "mecha" was just a sort-of plural form of that other word. Steve (25 years ago, 11-Feb-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Mech terminology

(...) It's generally a good idea to refrain from using the term "mech" in public postings... "Mech" is a trademark owned by FASA (the makers of the rediculously bad Battletech series of miniature wargames) derived from the word "BattleMech". They (...)   Re: Check out these mecha

In lugnet.build, Jeremy H. Sproat writes: Jeremy, Really nice work! very cool... my latest work has been micro-scale capital ships, but these make me want to start another line of mecha :) --Karim (...) (25 years ago, 11-Feb-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Most Inspiring Anime/Manga Poll

(...) Yep, U of U. They're an anime club. My friends and I would sometimes go there, but they had a tendency to watch anime that I wasn't particularly interested in (me being the main anime fan in my group). Just was curious with all your interest (...) (25 years ago, 11-Feb-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Check out these mecha

Dude, you are SO cool. I'm not worthy. <bowing> The cool thing is, these don't necessarily have to be microfig scale... they could also be minifig scale combat droids! Some creative use of minifig parts, and they could be power suits, or cyborg (...) (25 years ago, 11-Feb-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Check out these mecha

(...) Those are great! It must have been hard to give them that much detail in such a small size. I especially like the Melee Mech, and how you represent people at that scale is also kinda cool. Greg Majewski (URL) (25 years ago, 11-Feb-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.build.mecha)

  Check out these mecha

Hey all, Actually, they've been posted here before, but not everyone speaks LDraw. :-, So they're on my Web page now, indexed from my Microfig-scale page. Microfig-scale Goobermech: (URL) Worker Mech: (URL) Melee Mech: (URL) LMKWYT! Cheers, - (...) (25 years ago, 10-Feb-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Mech terminology

(...) Short Range Missle. As opposed to Long Range Missile. The number does indeed designate how many. It's from Battletech. Well, unless they took it from someplace else. Mmmm... the Vulture outfitted with 6 SRM-6 Streaks was always my favorite at (...) (25 years ago, 10-Feb-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Mech terminology

(...) Any of the BattleTech manuals (you have to go to a game store). Short Range Missle (amount). LRM is Long Range Missle. Bruce (25 years ago, 10-Feb-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Mech terminology

Say, is there a good guide around anywhere to mech terminology, especially weapon types? One of the notations I've seen a lot of, for instance, is "SRM##", where the ##'s seem to be the count of rockets (i.e., SRM8 or SRM20). At this point, I can (...)   Re: Most Inspiring Anime/Manga Poll

(...) Hmmm, nope. Never heard of it. That's U of U, right? I'll be taking night classes there soon (starting on my Bachelor's in E.E.) Cheers, - jsproat (25 years ago, 10-Feb-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Most Inspiring Anime/Manga Poll

(...) You should check out some of the other Gundam mecha. It's true that many of them are heavily ornamental, but if you scour through some of the 20-odd different series, you can find more "military" looking mecha. Some of my favorites: Zeta (...)
