Wow! Great work, it is so realistic. I truly love the fact that this mech has it own personality. A person can just imagine several Bu-806 sneaking on another army (not mobile suits necessary) and the pilots just say BOOOOO! Open fire, demolish (...) Hey guys, I've update my site with my new mecha, the Bu-806 Fieldsmate. It's a medium sized multi role mecha. I was really inspired by Marks newest mecha, to make a new one my self so I did... (...) I'm not sure about HERC, as it's an acronym used in that universe. It is derived from Herculean but it has its own provenance as well. Actually, I believe that the term Mech is derived from Mecha. Mecha I believe is a Japanese word for machine. If this is the case, there can never be a copyrighting of the word. thanks for the compliments but on the standing part I kind of cheated a bit. in case you didn't notice, I just used technic parts to hold the leg to the torso but the leg can't move!! it's stationary but can be wiggled a bit. thanks for the complements! the only problem is whenever I do build my "own" style of mech, it either can't stand up, or looks like a big blob of plastic so whenever building mechs i have to cheat and copy someone else or else it doesn't work. Bobby, The answer for me lies in what I like to build. I have no interest in making a six foot tall mecha. Most builders create at a level they are comfortable. I finally got pictures up of my first gundam. I can't say it's bad but it definitely needs work. My ninja fortress is my favourite. three levels with living quarters beneath and inter changeable roofs. the gundam was styled after bryce's big blue (...) Eric, I can't tell you enough about how awesome Chris' mecha is! All the joints "click" into place like a big 360 degree click hing. It's like a big toy. (...) Thank you for your comments. (...) You are absolutely right, the neck joint is a simple 4x4 studs turntable which in theory was supposed to be wide enough. The use of the compass is pretty neat. :^) Judging from the silhouette in the picture, I'd say your Gundam needs a bit more armor around the neck joint, but maybe you just haven't gotten to it yet. I've been looking at klapaucius' (sp?) gundam models (obscenely impressive, I must say.) and a thought struck me. has anybody tried using technic 32166 pieces (the throwbot gearbox pieces) to build joints for large scale mecha? it seems to me that (...)
