Bobby,
The answer for me lies in what I like to build. I have no interest in making
a six foot tall mecha. Most builders create at a level they are comfortable.
For me the scale I build has a lot to do with the types of joints I am
using. Gravity and weight being what they are Lego can only support so much.
Just as the joints used by some of the Origami Mecha makers only allow a
certain scale.
Your post seems to beg the question (at least to me) of why you're not
making a mech that's 6 ft tall. I mean if scale is your thing then go for
it. I don't take my mecha apart because I don't have to. Also I do not have
much building time and taking apart one of my mechs would require more time
than just buying and sorting new Lego.

On a different note. Saying that Brian is mass producing his mechs is an
unfair and uninformed statement. While I'm sure he doesn't need me to defend
him Brian's work has evolved and taken the direction of his own vision. I'll
assume that you meant no insult, but be aware that you post could easily be
taken the wrong way.

That said I am still waiting for new pictures of your mech.
Bryce

This is a question to Brian (K) and actually to all mecha builders:
"Why are you still building 2 to 3 feet tall Gundams and mechs?"
Especially you K, you have more than enough pieces to create a 6 foot Gundam
with opening armor/wings, huge guns, and you could probably make it strong and
agile enough so it can transform into something else.  Instead you have decided
to mass-produce the same thing over and over again and once you build something
you do not take it apart.  I am at a complete loss.
Most of you who will be reading this have plenty of Lego parts and the skills
the produce mechs of any size that you may fancy, so why have you restrained
yourselves so far?

Thanks Bryce, I am sorry to agitate you (I have this Vegeta strand in me). I am sorry to word my post in the way I did but I had to understand the differences between our building styles: buying only one of each set vs. free purchasing, acquiring (...)
