  Re: "Traikon" Heavy Assault Mecha

(...) Thanks, Marcus. I'm sorry about the confusion on my part. Anyway, your ankle design is one of the most innovative construction methods I've seen in this forum. I can see it catching on like wildfire, Thanks again. Later, Todd (19 years ago, 26-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

  Re: "Traikon" Heavy Assault Mecha

(...) Wonderful mecha Todd! I especially like how the colour scheme and repeated 6x6 dishes unify the whole. You achieved excellent harmony with this one. I also like the gun. :-D The hands, although ostensibly sturdy, are out of proportion with the (...) (19 years ago, 26-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: "Traikon" Heavy Assault Mecha

(...) I agree with Bryce..this mech has a very clean look to it. The color scheme also looks great. I am glad to see that you were able use an idea from the frame I designed. Eric gets credit for the spine and the hands and we worked together on the (...) (19 years ago, 25-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

  Re: "Traikon" Heavy Assault Mecha

(...) Rocks it nice and clean Todd. It's good to see an "old timer" still around :-) (19 years ago, 25-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

  Re: "Traikon" Heavy Assault Mecha

(...) Hi Todd, this is the first creation I see where gray and blay are mix, and don't look totally displaced. You managed to mix them in a way making them match in most cases. Especially the rifle is really good looking. I appreciate the dismantled (...) (19 years ago, 25-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: T.A.U.

Hello Jon, I like the approach of a tripedal. It's not seen that often. The color scheme is perfect. Special thanks for (URL) this shot>! Now to the criticism. On the MOC I've none. But your photography is like mine, it needs improvement. I myself (...) (19 years ago, 25-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Shiko

(...) Thanks Kyle, I had a lot of fun trying how poseable Shiko is. (...) I've a new camera. And I'm not yet really used to it. Up to now I couldn't manage to get bright pictures w/o using flashlight. Which often results in ugly spotlights on the (...) (19 years ago, 25-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  "Traikon" Heavy Assault Mecha

Check out the "Traikon" Heavy Assault Mecha- (URL) at 14.5 inches tall, the Traikon is my first mecha with Gundam-style hip and leg armor. Special thanks go out Eric Sophie and MC7- the ankle assembly is a modular version of their recent mecha frame (...)   Re: T.A.U.

(...) Thanks Kyle, I'd have to agree with you on the cockpit piece, but I gotta build stuff that doesn't use it so my Mechs don't all look the same. I especially liked how you incorporated it into your quad mech. Keep on building! -Jon (19 years ago, 25-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Shiko

(...) This might be the first mech I've seen that will literally (URL) bend over backwards> to get the job done. I see he's also into (URL) and (URL). That's a lot of posability. BTW, whatever lighting/editing you used for the sit-up shot, try to (...) (19 years ago, 23-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: T.A.U.

(...) snip I think the three-leg design helps contribute to the angular theme of the mech, which makes it more interesting, IMO. Four legs would almost give it too much symmetry. I like the gray color scheme, and the use of the printed slopes really (...) (19 years ago, 23-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: T.A.U.

(...) Thanks, Peter, I'm still working on my photography. :) I agree with you , that movement for the T.A.U. would be far from efficient (that's why it's a LONG range fire support mech...LOL)! Thanks for your comments! -Jon (19 years ago, 23-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: T.A.U.

(...) I understand your position, Allister, and appreciate your input, but the idea of building this Mech was more about having fun building and trying something truly " off the wall" than focusing on what could be done in reality. However, it (...) (19 years ago, 23-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: T.A.U.

(...) snip (...) Actually, Dave, I like your design quite a bit. So, you didn't take pains to get your legs at 270 degrees which I as a glutton for punishment did, big deal!I also think that your design would walk a lot better than mine. Your stuff (...)   Re: T.A.U.

(...) Very nice! At first glance I notice a passing structural similarity to the (URL) Quadwalker,> of which I am also quite fond. I tried my hand at a (URL) tripod mech> a while back with, it must be admitted, less success than your design (it's (...) (19 years ago, 22-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: T.A.U.

(...) By that logic, humans would not be able to walk either. A tripedal unit could throw itself off balance, lift a leg, and catch itself in a more forward position--or balance itself on two legs before lifting a leg. I'm not claiming it's (...)   Re: T.A.U.

(...) Very nifty. There's lots to like about this, but the problem i have with it is that a tripedal mecha in this configuration would never be able to actually walk. In order to do that it needs to be able to lift at least one leg in the air, which (...) (19 years ago, 22-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  T.A.U.

Hello all, I submit for your perusal ( and hopefully your approval :)! ) the Tripedal Assault Unit, or T.A.U. for short. deep link: (URL) T.A.U. is a long range fire support Mecha equipped with energy weapons only. It was designed to be able to (...) (19 years ago, 21-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.space)

  Re: LUGNet shut off

Hi Robert: With due respect, did you happen to read what Suz herself wrote (URL) here?> Here's the central point, IMO: No piece of a blog entry should be pulled out, given a title and posted at LUGNET with an implication that an announcement (...)   Re: LUGNet shut off
