  Delurking and pose contest entry.

I've been lurking in the background for 5 years now, and I thought it was finally time to post something. This is my entry for the mecha pose contest. It would be in the medium size category as it is 9.5 inches tall when standing at rest. It is (...) (19 years ago, 23-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: 2005 Mecha Pose Contest

(...) We're looking for new pictures. Or pics not yet published. So you couldn't use an image that's been on BS for a month but would have to take a new picture of the creation or use a picture that no one has seen yet. Any creation images that were (...) (...) I will be entering a gla frame in the 6 to 12 in mech class. Mainly for fun but I also have a pose that is NOT seen in his gallery.   Re: 2005 Mecha Pose Contest

Hello Mark, great idea! I hope to participate in at least two categories. But I've two questions: 1.) What exactly does new mean. Not published before your announcment of the contest, or first published as nominee for the contest? 2.) What if I (...) (19 years ago, 21-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

(...) Feel free to build as many as you want Chris! I'd like to see this diorama too. Maybe I can build one more, but I don't have more troops... Keep building (URL) Marco> (19 years ago, 21-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Bravo

(...) Glad you like it. The droid arm detail wasn't part of the original design. I added it later, and removed it, added it ones more, and removed it, added it onec more and thought it looks better with. Although I can't think of any technical use. (...)   Re: Kogeru

(...) Kind of looks like a dwarf version of your mechs; shorter but bulkier, with really strong muscles. It looks like it could be designed for use on a planet with strong gravity, like two or three G's. The yellow and dark red is an interesting (...)   Re: 2005 Mecha Pose Contest, rule clarification

(...) Sure did Marco. I am grooving on this little dude. I'm afraid I got not much more than what Dave said, the feet feel not quite right. I dig the toes, it's the heel that gets me.   2005 Mecha Pose Contest, rule clarification

I have been asked an interesting question regarding public frame designs, like the GlaGla frame: "Does it have to be an original design by me?" My answer to this is Yes, UNLESS the design you are using has been made publicly available for use. This (...) (19 years ago, 21-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.build.contests, FTX)

  Re: Kogeru

  Re: Bravo

Okay, so this one I like. A LOT! The colorscheme is fairly basic which helps on a design like this. I'm still not jiving on the feet, but that might be due to the size you are working at. Excellent Job, Marco! My suggestion regarding the dark (...) (19 years ago, 20-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

My First Real Dive Into The World Of Mech-Dom: The KOP Trooper

Greetings, mechers!* I would like to present my latest creation: the KOP (Keeper Of the Peace) Trooper. Encouraged by the replies to (URL) Alpha> I gave it another try. (2 URLs) Bravo> It's not as poseable as (URL) Alpha> but I like the overall look.   Re: Kogeru

(...) I like the bulkiness. It looks a bit lumbering but isn't that the "big and mean" standard? Also like the slope usage on the front. And for some damn reason I just love the blood red/yellow combo! So shoot me but I'm really diggin it! Wierd (...) (19 years ago, 19-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Bryce, I'm glad Scott replied. I also honestly don't understand why some people think my stuff all looks the same. I just want to talk about it, not be an ass. e (19 years ago, 19-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Kogeru

(...) yep, Kogeru will steal your lunch money with ease. Now hand it over. (...) Thanks Dave. I'm thinking that is the photography thing. It's sneaky in that respect. People either seem to think it is bigger or smaller than it actually is. Mark (19 years ago, 19-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Kogeru

Doesn't photograph well, huh? They say the camera adds 10lbs, so maybe he's actually sort of anorexic looking? With the exception of the tan dog-robot heads for fingers I dig the color scheme. I don't know how well it would work as urban camouflage, (...) (19 years ago, 19-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: WR02-ZRX1 Skin Build

Eric, I'm really happy to see you working Mecha in new ways. Don't take this as the wrong way, but in the past, much of your Mecha appeared to be the same (to the average non-mecha builder--I know many of the Mecha were developments and trials of (...)   Re: The two Drakes

(...) As Mark suggested I'm trying to redesign the too light ankle connection. Just to make them fit those massive legs. The modularity helps me in building. I can easily try new ideas... Thanks for your feedback (URL) Marco> (19 years ago, 18-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: The two Drakes

(...) Hello Kyle, looking at your mecha shows definetly that size doesn't matter! But as Mark stated in the Contest rules Drake is a small medium mech. (...) So do I. But they are that hard to build. Nevertheless they are worth it! (...) I'm sorry (...) (19 years ago, 18-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Paladin MkII

  Re: Kogeru

(...) Hi Mark, I'm afraid it looks better in person! It looks great on the pics. When I first glanced on it I thought it's about Shogun size. I'm impressed how you managed to get Kogeru look that massive. I also like the colour scheme. I haven't (...) (19 years ago, 18-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Kogeru

BIG, Klunky, very imposing. Did I miss anything, Mark? Oh, yeah...fins remind me of an early Mladen creation. Not sure how I feel about the colorscheme...I'm not fond of yellow non-construction mechs in general, so I'll admit to my bias there. I (...) (19 years ago, 18-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)
