  Re: The Beeesh

(...) It's kinda funny, when I saw Eric's post initially, I had sort of the same reaction as Adrian. I saw the picture of another Sophie-Mech, and didn't bother clicking further. I happened to catch Adrian's post as it went by, and since have (...) (20 years ago, 11-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: The Beeesh

(...) Not so. Greeblings and SNOT work are both directly related to style and design. Articulation is more about the mechanics, and while it can effect design, it isn't the focus of design. The specifics of how the SNOT work is done (ie, using 1x1 (...) (20 years ago, 11-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: The Beeesh

(...) That's a shame, because articulation is at least half of what defines a good mech. It's akin to ignoring SNOT work or greebling that is particuarily well done. (...) Fair enough, (exactly what I do as well) but I'm just voicing the flip side (...) (20 years ago, 11-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: The Beeesh

(...) I'm talking about the designs and the style, not the gearing technology, which I dont particularly understand (nor really care about, honestly). (...) Judging by Eric's reply to me(1), I really don't think Eric cares one iota about my opinion. (...) (20 years ago, 11-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: The Beeesh

(...) I can't disagree more, I can see the new. There is no doubt that there is a lot in common with your other works. But I see lots of minute improvements. And I see the tech improvements. The tech is tighter, the visible gears aren't showing the (...) (20 years ago, 11-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: GR-Destroyer

(...) Thanks. It's 30 inches tall, not quite three feet, but on the minifig scale that's about 110 feet tall, coincidentally the same conjectured height as the Colossus of Rhodes, a virtual minifig tourist attraction, when it isn't on a destructive (...) (...) I tried but my camera couldn't quite manage it, not enough light. The eye, um, aperture, sort of glows red, but you can only see it in the dark. K (20 years ago, 11-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Brain, Sweeeeet mecha! Nice to see you are at it again. That is one of the best I have ever seen. It even rivals the Gundams you have built. I have one question....How tall is that thing? The biggest I have built was maybe 12", and that thing looks (...) (20 years ago, 10-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: New MOC: K-Siren

(...) Thank you Soren, this was the Mecha light of my day! Kinda different, the orange knees stand out, but not in a bad way. Is this a reclining couch kind of cockpit? I'm still thinking different. It's got a look that has me go, ewww, yet hmmm (...) (20 years ago, 10-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)
