  Working on a New Robriq

I got stalled on this one near the end. I have to work on some other projects soon so I thought I'd show what I'd built so far: (URL) Can you figure out which theme it's for? The few of you who know keep quiet! (Hint: It'll be armed) (URL) [ j o n ] (...) (20 years ago, 11-May-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  The Improve .Mecha Thread

Like the title says. Give at least three ways to make .mecha a better, more mindblowing newsgroup. No more half-hearted complaints, let's thrash out just what we want to do to rock everybody's moms harder and longer. Just two restrictions I'd like (...)   Re: Robriq Moobot

Nice bot, though does it have any visual sensors? ...that can pick-up colors? ...such as red, for example? Sorry. Couldn't resist the obvious joke. Again. Roy W. (20 years ago, 10-May-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Robriq Moobot

(...) Nice. I like how it can crouch down for unloading. I would have given it a head (a cow-ey snouty one), but I'm not about to tell you how you should design a robriq :-) Cheers, (URL) Sci-Fi LEGO> (20 years ago, 10-May-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Robriq Skullbot

Cool, but it needs 6 legs for the creepy factor : ) It'd be cool to animate a bunch of these swarming over a moonbase ! (...) (20 years ago, 7-May-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Globriq 01

(...) This is just soo... beautiful man. Soo beautiful. at first I read this as glob-riq rather than glo-briq. heh funny how that little accent changes the meaning. ahh the silly things that make me smile i like kittens -lenny (20 years ago, 9-May-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Robriq Moobot

(...) Jon, wow! This project is turning out better than I ever imagined it would. What's next on the to-do list? EB-Robriq? IR-Robriq? Rasta-Robriq? Can't wait! -Lenny (20 years ago, 9-May-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Robriq Moobot

(...) As said before, that's sweet. Wow. This is awesome- a perfect, orginal combo of organicness and a machine. Can't wait to see more tech west stuff. Maybe you could rip off some ideas from that Rockfish movie... some techwest ideas there. -JHK (20 years ago, 9-May-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)

  Robriq Moobot

Toradoch Systems approached Robriq recently. They wanted to build a bot that could be sold to small-hold farmers and ranchers in the New Malpaso colony out in the frontier. The result is a seamless fusion of Toradoch and Robriq technology. Moobot: (...) (20 years ago, 9-May-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Robriq Skullbot

(...) Very creepy-archnidy cool. Like the use of the skeleton bodies. And the big red eyes really stand out against the black and white. Almost moreso than usual, as if 3vil itself permeates from them....<cold shudder>. -Chris (20 years ago, 8-May-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Globriq 01

Re: Your mom's on fire (New MOCs)

Man, what a rip off that subject line is! Even though I don't like the whole mecha w/ medieval weapons genre, these mocs are pretty freaking cool. That sword the white one carries is amazing. Great job, but next time you use that title, I expect to (...) (20 years ago, 7-May-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

You have to love any moc that encorporates the undead. Great turret, I'll take 60. Robriq is out of control. -Keith (20 years ago, 7-May-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Robriq Skullbot

  Re: Robriq Skullbot

(...) I actually think this is the first robriq with *two* eyes. It's symmetrical so there's another eye on the other side. Freaky. I'll try not to make it a habit. Up with cyclops.   Re: Robriq Skullbot

  Robriq Skullbot

Robriq is proud to unveil the Skullbot. 3vil contracted Robriq to create a bot that would aid in the destruction of the Star Ranger menace, and the company filled the order with pride. Hi folks! I've posted a few new MOCs on my Brickshelf area, mostly those that were displayed at the 500 Festival Kid's Day in Indianapolis on May 1.   Re: C-55 Mobile "Spider" Platform

i'm a real big fan of the multiped tank/modile gun platforms. this is really good work. the ball turrets add a nice amount of menace, and overall play up the "bristling with weapons" look. i just love that! the legs feel a wee bit on the thin (...) (20 years ago, 5-May-04, to lugnet.build.mecha)

this is very cool. i'm a big fan of huge ships, and to marry the huge ship with the mecha (my greatest love)...well...it's divine! i enjoy the two-legged mechs, some of my earliest designs were two-legged. it makes me want to return to it again! the (...)
