  Re: Robriq Skullbot

Very Japanese! ('not sure my English is correct on that one...) Bravo! JP. (20 years ago, 7-May-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Robriq Skullbot

Robriq is proud to unveil the Skullbot. 3vil contracted Robriq to create a bot that would aid in the destruction of the Star Ranger menace, and the company filled the order with pride. This Robriq is bristling with plenty of firepower and 3vil: (4 (...) (20 years ago, 7-May-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX) !

  New MOCs

Hi folks! I've posted a few new MOCs on my Brickshelf area, mostly those that were displayed at the 500 Festival Kid's Day in Indianapolis on May 1. It includes my first attempt at a Mecha figure, as well as a space pirate ship, grandstands and a (...) (20 years ago, 6-May-04, to lugnet.announce, lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Your mom's on fire (New MOCs)

(...) (blush) Thank you. (...) Thanks! That was one of those designs that come together on their own, as if the bricks are fitting themselves into a design not entirely under my control. I finished up and I thought "How the f--- did I do that?" (...) (20 years ago, 5-May-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: A way to get dirtside when driving a light mech

(...) What so you had both dropships built at the same time!?!!?!? Doi! That's amazing. Um....whoa... I gotta get the super hero's from the planet next Thursday to help me catch up! e (20 years ago, 5-May-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: C-55 Mobile "Spider" Platform

i'm a real big fan of the multiped tank/modile gun platforms. this is really good work. the ball turrets add a nice amount of menace, and overall play up the "bristling with weapons" look. i just love that! the legs feel a wee bit on the thin (...) (20 years ago, 5-May-04, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: A way to get dirtside when driving a light mech

this is very cool. i'm a big fan of huge ships, and to marry the huge ship with the mecha (my greatest love)...well...it's divine! i enjoy the two-legged mechs, some of my earliest designs were two-legged. it makes me want to return to it again! the (...)   Re: New Builder, New Mecha!

this is a real tasty piece of business here! i am particularly fond of the torso/abdominal region with the curved sections set at an angle above the waist. i'm also diggin' the shoulder pieces! i'm just sort of learning how to build with SNOT so i'm (...)   Re: Your mom's on fire (New MOCs)

i am always very excited, and moreover, greatly inspired when i see your creations. bravo! i really enjoy all of these, but my favorite is the white one. i really dig the head design...and the sword! really great. i'm really, really looking forward (...)   Re: A way to get dirtside when driving a light mech

(...) Glad you liked it! It actually took me quite a while to build this, fooling around with door design, front and rear tapers, a little greebling, and of course the angled anime-style winglets I can't resist putting on everything. It was already (...) (20 years ago, 5-May-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: A way to get dirtside when driving a light mech

Ho ho! ok, I'm getting inspired. Note to self, add to list: #1. Date Soren's Mom. #2. Break up with Keith's Mom. #3. Work on Leg design for the SSClagorpion. #4. Build new Moonbases for Brick Fest. #5. Build Drop Ship ok, I'm set. This is very cool, (...) (20 years ago, 4-May-04, to lugnet.build.mecha)

ooohh, ahhhh, hmmmmm, ooooo, I see I see. Ohh, ummm, ya, wow, oh oh the studs going in different directions, how cool, wow the chest, nice! Well Well, welcome to build.mecha! e (20 years ago, 4-May-04, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: A way to get dirtside when driving a light mech

(...) Thanks for the response! I agree about the body-to-cockpit transition. When I build a dropship, I start with the cargo area, because the internal space requirement and my parts inventory are the only binding constraints. (Luckily, we Lego (...)   Re: New Builder, New Mecha!

Thanks everyone so far for the replies! My two downfalls are lack of new parts and lack of ball joints (and all of the bricks required to make them work, such as those 1x2's with the "+" holes...just WHERE do you find those?). The elbow joint sucks, (...) (20 years ago, 3-May-04, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: A way to get dirtside when driving a light mech

You have improved, and I mean it in a good way ;) I thought your first dropship was way cool, and I was really impressed by it, this ship is much more detailed than the previous one, and its shape is smoother, except for in front; the (...) (20 years ago, 3-May-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: New Builder, New Mecha!

Welcome to .mecha! Very nice. Cool shape, cool joints, cool SNOT. I'm not blown away, I'll admit, but I am going to bookmark this and study it in depth later. Might even make a printout for my Ideas folder. Looking forward to your next! Soren (20 years ago, 3-May-04, to lugnet.build.mecha)

A way to get dirtside when driving a light mech

Have a look, if you like, at my small dropship (click the pic for the gallery): (URL) It hauls three light mechs and fields two banks of naval missles, two long range missle racks, a pair of mass drivers, and two point-defense lasers. Click the next (...) (20 years ago, 3-May-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: New Builder, New Mecha!

Hey, I spotted this on Brickshelf earlier. Nice mech! I like the shape, and very tricky joint work. It looks like it packs the details of a very large machine into a smaller package. Not that I build totally studless myself, but it looks like there (...) (20 years ago, 3-May-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: New Builder, New Mecha!

(...) wierd angles of bricks is downright awesome (I love the wedge plates on the chest!) It looks sleek, but not so sleek that it couldn't be a grungy weapon of war. The head is basic, yet it looks 100% mech-ish The torso has tons of detail, but (...) (20 years ago, 3-May-04, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  New Builder, New Mecha!

Hi everyone! After lurking for a GOOD WHILE and appreciating all of the fantastic creations, I finally snagged a digital camera over the weekend (sony Cyber-shot, works like a charm) and took some pics of my Arbalest. (URL) dunno exactly how long (...) (20 years ago, 2-May-04, to lugnet.build.mecha)
