Okay then, I officially vollunteer to be one of the three. I have lots of
time, some webspace (though if I got a brickshelf account, I could have lots
more), and I'll take bribes in US dollars or gold pressed latinum (sorry,
just got back from alt.binaries.startrek ;)
On the other hand, if someone really wants to snub me, I don't suppose I
would mind competing either... ;) Whatever we do, I think it should
happen soon since winter break is coming and that would be the ideal
building as well as judging time.
After watching the Et in Arcadia Hoverthing contest, I think a small, simple
page hosting links and a single thumbnail to people's own displays on their
own pages would be a great way to do it. That way, whoever hosts the actual
contest page does not need to worry about having a large amount of webspace
or a large amount of links to worry about, as well as a simplified page
layout. In fact, if no one else wants to, I can host the page. I'd rather
do that than deal with logistics, since I've never actually done anything
like this before.

| (...) Maybe a group of 3 or so could come up with a set of rules. I'd be willing to help out here. I'd also be happy to do the contest page. If so, I'd host it here on Lugnet and use Brickshelf for images. And in 5 or so years when we get around to (...) (23 years ago, 13-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.space)
