Would it be possible to reuse your voting scripts from last year?

Well, without wanting to snub Tom, I'd like to nominate Tony for the
judge/organizer for the Second Annual Space Building Contest -- then he
can't participate! Heh, heh, heh...

Methinks NOT!  I'd be happy to help out, as long as I don't render myself
ineligible.  We need to let Todd play too, of course.

And who cares about the scripts?  Was there some crazy, elaborate voting
scheme before or something?  How about one vote per category?  It's all for
fun anyway...

Um, yeah.  There was a rather elaborate voting scheme before.  I think we
could streamline it a bit, though, and end up with something that could be
processed by hand.  I do like the idea of only taking votes from people who
enter.  It would be nice to let everyone here vote, but I remember watching
the voting process from the Town contest early this year.  That got really
ugly, and restricting the votes to interested parties mostly solves that
whole issue.

What are the organizer's responsibilities?  Off hand, I can think of:
1: Invent the rules, including categories and voting procedures.
2: Make official announcements.
3: Create a contest page and update it as entries come in.
4: Organize voting.

Assuming that the theme is Blacktron I, is there anyone here who is willing
to do the above but not enter the contest?

Since it is not Ice Planet ;-), I would be willing to help with scrutinizing
the votes again. With that double checking, the organizer should be able to
compete if he/she wishes.

Bribes will begin at $100-, and I take American money at par. <grin>

(...) Maybe a group of 3 or so could come up with a set of rules. I'd be willing to help out here. I'd also be happy to do the contest page. If so, I'd host it here on Lugnet and use Brickshelf for images. And in 5 or so years when we get around to (...) (23 years ago, 13-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.space)
