  Fish & Flippers concludes!

A few months ago I was in a funk. My favorite theme, Aquazone, appeared to be gone for good in production and in the minds of AFOLs. Of course I still had all the pieces, but part of the fun of all these themes is seeing what other people create. (...)   RE: MOCkery entry: 8 wide Hearse

(...) Thanks, Bill! You wouldn't believe what a pain it is to add minifig heads to a structure when you're out of 1x2 plates with center studs in black. I had to make use of the hollow studs in 1x1 and 1x2 technic beams quite a bit. --Bram Bram (...) (25 years ago, 29-Oct-01, to lugnet.build.contests)

RE: MOCkery entry: 8 wide Hearse

(...) Thanks, Tomas! I found a door hinge that works pretty well, and looks reasonably clean while still being applicable in numerous situations, so I use it :) The only problem is that most of my hinges are the kind with the hollow studs. I like (...) (25 years ago, 29-Oct-01, to lugnet.build.contests)

RE: MOCkery entry: 8 wide Hearse

(...) Thanks, George! I was originally thinking about just copying the grill from my '59 Eldorado, but I thought that would be "cheating", so I decided to go for a later style grill. It was quite a challenge to put the wheels so far toward the front (...) (25 years ago, 29-Oct-01, to lugnet.build.contests)

  Re: Hoverthing Contest

(...) Thanks, Mladen! I'm not sure what posessed me to build the jet parts other than the fact that I'd tried to use them on mecha without success and I really wanted them to work on something. Ultimately, this produced one of the first hoverthings (...) (25 years ago, 29-Oct-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, lugnet.build.contests)

Re: MOCkery entry: 8 wide Hearse

(...) Bram, That's a great hearse, and I am in awe of your ability to create details at such a small scale (ie. the Caddy style grill and the martian arm scrollwork). George (25 years ago, 29-Oct-01, to lugnet.build.contests)

Re: MOCkery entry: 8 wide Hearse

(...) Bram, your models always amaze me. This is very nice. Just like TLC themselves do, you have invented a certain technique (say, for car doors) and use it across different models. One thing I found distracting about this model was the inverted (...) (25 years ago, 29-Oct-01, to lugnet.build.contests)

  Re: M450 SkyRacer

(...) Thanks for the comments! The nose is actually very sturdy, I've posted construction notes on brickshelf. ((URL) can see the multiple ways the nose is attached to the fuselage.   Re: MOC: M450 SkyRacer "Instructions" Posted

I've posted Construction Notes on the M450 SkyRacer on Brickshelf. While these are not step by step instructions, I think there are enough pictures to demonstrate how most of this model was made.
