Re: WINNERS of the Poster Contest !!!!!!

Hey Terry, Thanks for running this contest. It was a lot of fun and I enjoyed all of the entries. Eventually I'd like to make some more movie posters. Certainly I'll do the Two Towers one and the Return of the King when it comes out. If I had one of (...) (24 years ago, 2-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.contests)

Re: WINNERS of the Poster Contest !!!!!!

(...) Well all I can say is thanks. I'm glad you loved my posters. It's been so much fun creating them so I could hardly stopped myself from creating anymore. I think also the other posters who won, their creators made a wonderful job, and therefore (...) (24 years ago, 1-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.contests)

WINNERS of the Poster Contest !!!!!!

Thanks to read this message. I am pleased with the results of our contest. Though not many people did participate, the number of visitors have been considerably high. I think this means many people liked the concept, but few were willing to take the (...)   Re: Lame Parts Entry - Wibble Asteroid Sailer

Hey Michael, The football pieces are about 10 cents on bricklink. You could make six wibbles and use the six for all your pictures. You could make an entire lame wibble asteroid belt. Maybe this could be the start of a new newsgroup, off of .space (...) (24 years ago, 1-Dec-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.contests)

Lame Parts Entry - Wibble Asteroid Sailer

Here is my (lame) entry for the Lame parts contest. I'm building another, much better one, which should be done soon, but for now... The Wibble are a peculiar race that evolved in an asteroid belt. Intrepid Wibble explorers move around using craft (...) (24 years ago, 1-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.space)

Re: Lame Parts III - The website

Good website, Allister! Simple and functional. I like it. Just one problem, all the links work. Shouldn't there be a lame link or two that is broken? :) Just kidding, good job. Josh (...) (24 years ago, 29-Nov-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.contests)

Lame Parts III - The website

Well, I've finally finished the official competition website. It's fairly rudimentary (I'm no programmer), but it should do the job. Check it out at (URL) me know if there are any errors, omissions or if you have any suggestions on making the comp (...) (24 years ago, 29-Nov-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.contests)

Re: Lame Parts II - Let the building begin.

(...) Now that you mention it, I think I thought something similar when I first encountered one (at the start of mt Lego rebirth when I bought a Mindstorms RIS). I remember thinking it didnt look very useful as it didn't have many studs or holes for (...) (24 years ago, 28-Nov-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.contests)

Re: Lame Parts II - Let the building begin.

Thanks, James, I appreciate the comments. The brick seperators are a funny thing, because the first time I saw them I thought they were a weird new space piece I didn't know about. So, now they have reverted back to my first thoughts of them! You (...) (24 years ago, 27-Nov-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.contests)

Re: Lame Parts II - Let the building begin.

(...) Fantastic! I especially like the solar separators, they don't even look like a lame part, they look quite fitting! The Manta Ray isn't technically part of the ship, but I guess we'll let you off! James (24 years ago, 26-Nov-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.contests)

Re: Lame Parts II - Let the building begin.

Hey all, Here is my entry for the Lame parts contest. As always comments and critiques are always welcome. The following is a top secret report on the incrediblely lame pirate ship, the Galaxy Offender: It was originally designed for research and (...)   Re: Lame Parts II - Let the building begin.

(...) Yeah, talk about As Ye Shall Sow... anyway, I've gotta say the solutions some people have come up with to hold the football in place are amazing. In the last day or so I've made a small lameparts model, but I used blu-tack for the football and (...) (24 years ago, 25-Nov-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.contests)

Re: Lame Parts II - Prizes

(...) Cool prizes! Really lame parts in both of those sets. Can't wait for my pics to get developed and the web page working. I want to see everyone else's creations! Josh (24 years ago, 21-Nov-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.contests)

Re: Lame Parts II - Prizes

(...) OK, I've picked out some suitably lame prizes. There was little selection at my local K-Mart of the above atrocities, but I have selected the following prizes for each category. Runner Up - (URL) Robot Diver from the Alpha Team theme. First (...) (24 years ago, 21-Nov-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.contests)

Re: Lame Parts II - Let the building begin. (Re: football\soccer ball)

(...) Hi Allister, The lego football is not a standard number of bricks in diameter. It is rather difficult to get on something, but I guess that is what makes it a challenge. I managed to get two onto my ship using only lego and no rubber bands. (...) (24 years ago, 21-Nov-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.contests)

Re: Lame Parts II - Let the building begin.

(...) Regarding connecting the 'football' to other Lego-there are two solutions I can think of that are Lego-only (one is rubber bands and the other is...much more creative.) Anyone who can come up with a third way will greatly impress me. :) -Dave (...) (24 years ago, 21-Nov-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.contests)
