Since the thin walls fro LEGO Direct are clear instead of tinted, they aren't ideal for office windows. They are however very useful for ground floor windows. The first thing that came to my mind after unpacking them was this: (URL) can't imagine (...) (24 years ago, 20-Jun-00, to lugnet.build.arch)

  Re: The missing arch

(...) Yep, such a warm welcome it is. (...) these pages, or make your links to them from your main page a bit more obvious? Just a bit... (Or maybe I'm reading all the wrong groups ;-) (...) Guess I am. I think I'll take Bram's suggestion to leave a (...) (24 years ago, 20-Jun-00, to lugnet.build.arch)

  Re: The missing arch

(...) :-( I don't think the latter is possible, seeing that the inner radius of the arch is at a different sloping as its outer radius... <fumbling with some parts> Nope, it doesn't fit. I guess I'll go with a gap, then. But - ugh. -Shiri (24 years ago, 20-Jun-00, to lugnet.build.arch)

  Re: The missing arch

(...) I've run into the same problem myself. Maybe at some point LEGO will create that missing arch, but I don't think they have. You could leave the curved opening, or you could add a second row with the medium arch stragetically moved forward and (...) (24 years ago, 20-Jun-00, to lugnet.build.arch)

  Re: The missing arch

(...) Welcome to the World of TLC! I had this same problem some months back when building my alien whose head is made of these things. The Alien was going to be much bigger, when I realized it was no go. Then I just built him with Throwbot parts. (...) (24 years ago, 20-Jun-00, to lugnet.build.arch)

  The missing arch

(since this is .arch, it's only natural that there should be arch questions here, no? ;-) While building my 5571, early this year, my eye caught on one specific design using arches: (the yellow frame in this step: (URL) thought that using a few (...)   Re: Question re: the bulk discount

(...) This reminds me of a _Sesame Street_ skit: spy-looking guy sidles up to Ernie: Spy: "Pssst... hey bud" Ernie: "WHAT?" Spy "SHHHHHHH! Shhhhhhh!" Ernie; "What?" Spy: "Riiiight... riiiight. Ya wanna buy a secret room?" Ernie: "SECRET ROOM!?!" (...) (24 years ago, 14-Jun-00, to lugnet.build.arch)

(...) inside? I tried this, I thought it worked well but... <looks left and right> I wanted a hollow roof for possible twists in the plot and maybe ... um... <checks no-one is there> ... a secret room... <runs away> <clears throat> So anyhow, how do (...)   Re: My Red Church

(...) Yep, I saw it, it was great!! (...) Too bad, but understandable. :-) (...) That's Christina. Her collection is amazing, and she's really nice too. <grin> She doesn't go online much, I gather. I tried to convince her to join CW, she said she'll (...) (24 years ago, 12-Jun-00, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build.arch)

  Re: My Red Church

(...) ...If we can drag her back into a pirate game, she might not be an NLSO much longer :-) (...) ...Well, I hope that part of your trip was worth it! Next time we'll try to find you a hotel room so you can stay the nite and play more! :-) (...) (...) (24 years ago, 12-Jun-00, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build.arch)
