  Re: Baseball Stadium

(...) Wow! That's really quite good. I like the way the baselines are imbeded in the ground. The fence around the outside is a neat design as well. Creative usage of those click hinges in the back wall. Also, do I see Zorro behind the scoreboard? (...) (22 years ago, 3-Sep-02, to lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.town)

  Re: Abston Church

(...) ...THANK YOU!! What a wonderful work of architecture!!! I got to see it before being taken down, and I don't recall these overall views. They're just stunning, in a word! And I was deeply moved by Precious' involvement in your project...she (...) (22 years ago, 26-Aug-02, to lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.town, lugnet.org.us.michlug)

Re: Round windows (was: New MOC: Red Building)

I've built a window exactly as you describe. Pics at (URL) The inverse arch is held from sliding back into the building by protruding pieces behind it, but it can (and does) fall out the front. Roy (...) (22 years ago, 20-Aug-02, to lugnet.build.arch)

Amy & All, (...) I think Amy's definition of "small" is bigger than most people's projects! : ) ou are an awesome builder, Amy. I continue to be amazed. Congrats on the CLSOTW also! (...)   Abston College Christ Chapel

My next small church project... (URL) be a little larger than the GATS Church. I intended this would be portable, but it's pretty fragile. I'll probably not finish it until I've disassembled the Abston Church of Christ, so I can use that table, and (...)   Abston Church

I noticed this evening from email I've received that my site was selected CSOTW. Yeah, I'm kinda slow :-) Thanks to everyone who requested it, and thanks to Todd for the kind review. I've since added a couple pictures of the Abston Church project, (...) (22 years ago, 20-Aug-02, to lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.town, lugnet.org.us.michlug)

Uploaded pics of my WTC under construction

All: These pictures are from Oct 2001, when I began my 2nd version of the WTC. The plan was to build a 5x5 foot plaza, the surrounding roads, and all of the buildings in the Trade Center. The new pictures start on the 6th row, in the middle of the (...) (22 years ago, 24-Jul-02, to lugnet.town, lugnet.build.arch)

  Re: Try again...

It's a very cool building, not really my style though. As soon as I saw it, it reminded me of the building on this page: (URL) tried looking for a larger picture of it, but I can't find any. (It doesn't help that I don't know what it's called, or (...) (22 years ago, 23-Jul-02, to lugnet.build.arch)

  Try again...

Hello again all! I've posted a message a few days ago announcing my new MOC, La Tour Kisc. Since then, nothing, niet, rien. I was hoping for a few comments, positive or not, about my work. I don't know if I posted to the correct topic, so I'm (...) (22 years ago, 22-Jul-02, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.town)

Re: Round windows (was: New MOC: Red Building)

(...) The easiest way is to use Technic pins inserted into bottoms of both arches, or the technic pin with stud. Peter (22 years ago, 16-Jul-02, to lugnet.build.arch)

Round windows (was: New MOC: Red Building)

(...) noticed the shed and locomotive (wow!) but I can't figure out what is going in the "sheddetail1.jpg" image showing a round window. I've built round windows using those inverse half-arches, but these are all a lot bigger than the one you show. (...) (22 years ago, 11-Jul-02, to lugnet.build.arch)

Re: MOC Statue of Liberty Pedestal

(...) I'm glad you like it. To answer your question: Since the most common tan piece seems to be the 2x4 brick, most of the exterior structure is made up of such brick. The walls, and so forth, are all 2x wide. The statue, however, is kind of heavy (...) (22 years ago, 10-Jul-02, to lugnet.build.arch)

Re: MOC Statue of Liberty Pedestal

(...) Thanks, Ken! I also thought about waiting to see if LEGO would release some sort of pedestal kit, but then decided that it probably wouldn't happen because of the limited market for it. I mean, the only people they would be selling to would be (...) (22 years ago, 10-Jul-02, to lugnet.build.arch)

Re: MOC Statue of Liberty Pedestal

(...) Just kidding. I think you'd need about a million bricks for that. But if anyone could build it, it'd be you. Nice job! --Dave (jot and jab) (22 years ago, 10-Jul-02, to lugnet.build.arch)

Re: MOC Statue of Liberty Pedestal

(...) Thanks. The torch indeed looks good in the dark, but does not photograph very well at all. Plus, I was out of batteries for the torch light on the day I was taking these pictures. Nonetheless, thanks for looking. (22 years ago, 10-Jul-02, to lugnet.build.arch)

Re: MOC Statue of Liberty Pedestal

(...) Indeed I do enjoy Nathan! What is the internal structure like? The guys at LLW said when they are doing buildings they put 2x bricks as bracing roughly every 10 studs, have you done something similar? If so I bet they aren't tan as you appear (...)   Re: MOC Statue of Liberty Pedestal

(...) Liberty set #3450, a pedestal kit for her to stand on. I would also hope it looked as nice as the one you built. You have shown (as many of the creative minds that post their pics. here) that one does not need to wait for a preformed kit - (...) (22 years ago, 10-Jul-02, to lugnet.build.arch)
