I've built a window exactly as you describe. Pics at
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=9523

The inverse arch is held from sliding back into the building by protruding
pieces behind it, but it can (and does) fall out the front.

Roy

Not on the topic of the red building, but while I was browsing the folder, I
noticed the shed and locomotive (wow!) but I can't figure out what is going
in the "sheddetail1.jpg" image showing a round window.

I've built round windows using those inverse half-arches, but these are all
a lot bigger than the one you show.

Am I right in thinking that you are using a regular arch upside down? If so,
my guess is that you have put a tile on the studs on this arch, which is
then lying on top of another tile. But if so, what holds it into place (i.e.
stops it sliding forward and out)? Just being careful with the finished
model? Or is there something structural that I can't work out?
