Re: The Brick Testament: Samson and Delilah

Hi, Scott. (...) Thanks! (...) a long time to set up. And they are generally very fragile, so just as I get everything into place, my wrist bumps into something and lots of stuff collapses, and I start over. My previous big collapse-in-motion scene (...) (19 years ago, 27-Sep-05, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

Re: The Brick Testament: Samson and Delilah

Brendan, beautifully done as usual, but I have one question about your methodology. How do you photograph your action shots, like the one found here: (URL) you use blocks behind the falling balcony pieces to hold them in place while you photograph (...)   Re: The Brick Testament: Samson and Delilah

(...) Hi, Steve. I was only able to locate one instance of my use of the word "murder" in the recently added stories (though if I missed something, feel free to correct me). At Judges 14:9, I have: "The spirit of Yahweh then seized Samson, and he (...) (19 years ago, 27-Sep-05, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

Re: The Brick Testament: Samson and Delilah

(...) I've enjoyed your work for quite a while now. I must say, however, I am not real fond of your copious use of the word "murder" in recent chapters. The term isn't used in the original texts (of any translation I know of). Replacing the original (...) (19 years ago, 27-Sep-05, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

  Re: The LEGO Colosseum Project

Hi Erik, I'm not too sure about that because I was too busy building =P, but I managed to get an answer from our designer who happens to be a trained architect =) "There were no special techniques required, but I first counted and measure the (...)   Re: The LEGO Colosseum Project

(...) That is nice! Were there any special techniques used to build the curves? It does look like regular square grid - and large enough to be smooth. -Erik (19 years ago, 17-Sep-05, to lugnet.loc.sg, lugnet.build.ancient, lugnet.build.sculpture, lugnet.events, FTX)

Re: The Brick Testament: Samson -- the early years

Hey, Bruce. (...) Thanks, I'm pretty happy with the new look. Easier to read, and hopefully a little nicer to look at. I also dispensed with the two letter abbreviations for the books of the Bible. When I started the project, I mistakenly thought (...) (19 years ago, 17-Sep-05, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

Re: The Brick Testament: Samson -- the early years

Hey Rev, Awesome! I'd been wondering when the next installment would come. I like the new background, BTW. Izban, Elon, and Abdon - Hmm, not a lot here. Not sure why you chose to illustrate this. I never knew how much of a ladies' man Elon was. (...) (19 years ago, 16-Sep-05, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

(...) Yes! Now I see. (...) Ah, thanks for the link to that photo. (...)   Who built Solomon's Temple at Brickfest 2005?

Can anyone tell me who built the model of Solomon's Temple at Brickfest 2005? (URL) That's pretty sweet (and of obvious interest to me since I'll have to build it myself eventually).
