Re: LEGO Millyard model to cover 2,000 square feet, Sponsored by NELUG

Hi all, As someone who has never participated in a large group build I'm very curious as to how this works.. Could you answer a few questions? I see the buildings are arranged on large gridded paper, and each team has several reference photographs. (...) Here are some more pictures of the Phase I building session that took place this past weekend. These pictures represent progress up until 1pm on Sunday as I had to leave and missed the rest of the Sunday build session. When I left 2 structures were (...)   Re: LEGO Millyard model to cover 2,000 square feet, Sponsored by NELUG

I just wanted to say that I had an absolute blast on Saturday - one of the best outings I've had as a member of NELUG. Despite having to rebuild my one section repeatedly (thus creating "The Gash"[1]), we probably could have completed our building (...)   Pyramid building

I've finally made pictures of my (almost ;-) finished pyramid. I've used slopes everywhere now, ecxept for the top. Also the tiles are now all in tan. Here are two deeplinks: (URL) me know what you think! thanks and best regards Daan Bargerbos (20 years ago, 14-Oct-04, to lugnet.build.ancient)

  Re: Basilica

(...) Thank you for correcting that. As I'm sure everybody just figured out, I'm new to using ftx format on lugnet. Regardless, thank you.   Re: The Brick Testament: Gibeonites Enslaved, Amorites Massacred

(...) No, no, it's not the *same* table. It was just created by the same carpenter at Ai. He used to supply tables to many area kings. Of course Joshua got his by looting. And that explains that. -Rev. Smith (20 years ago, 24-Sep-04, to lugnet.build.ancient)

Re: The Brick Testament: Gibeonites Enslaved, Amorites Massacred

(...) Thanks. (...) Good question. You're right, I don't have any of the new Harry Potter sets with gray hoods--though I did just order a couple of those gray-hooded ghoul things over Bricklink. Hey Brendan, Great as always. Gibeonites enslaved: I like the gray color scheme you used. Why no gray hoods? Do you not have any of the newer Harry Potter sets, or is this an anti-bley sentiment? I didn't even reallize they made the dark bread. I'll (...) (20 years ago, 21-Sep-04, to lugnet.build.ancient)

(...) I just wan't to be clear: when I wrote "I won't argue that" above, what I am NOT arguing or contesting is that illustrators like me can put a spin on things. So, Tim, to say you agree with Bruce on this issue is also to be in agreement with (...) (20 years ago, 9-Sep-04, to lugnet.build.ancient)

Request to divert non-Lego build discussions
