Hi, I've been building a lot of ancient theme stuff in micro-fig scale. I'm planning on bringing some to Brickfest. Micro-fig scale is fun because you get something built quickly. This is a group of Mycenaean buildings such as might appear in Agamemnon's citadel. The battlement was actually intended for Troy (and adapted from CCC). All prototypes for further refinement. Hi there, Do tell more about what city you worked on! I just constructed 3 small Mycenaean houses based on Peter Connolly's illustration of Agamemnon's citadel in _The Greek World of Odysseus_. Well, I do not know much about the movie, heard about it first here. Yes, thousands of remakes, on big screen and little stupid box. Scrounging up somewhat authentic minifigs will be kind of hard, the closest I can think of are the knights with the (...) About Troy... I'm not sure about the movie -- I hope it doesn't suck -- but I have been following the comic _Age of Bronze_ for some years and prefer that for references for MOCs. (...) All well done. I know a guy who did the exact set of rules that you are looking for that were specifically medieval. They were for resin ships and metal minatures, but they should work for Lego (and I'll warn you that low Viking ships facing (...) (...) Simple asnwer... I don't like colour to much :) In grey the structure and lines of the building stand out better, so I kept it that way. With colours it very easy the look gets to "buzy". (...) I like the flat tiles on the roof, the coffered ceiling, and the trophies (shields?) around the inside. Also the use of corrugated bricks as columns. Yeah, I've seen others use the lattice fences quite nicely as shutters, and it's even easier when you're only ever going to show one side of a building -- the other side can look sloppy if no one sees it.
