I finally got to see the page . Great work! As I was sorting Some new sets to
day I thought about the Balance of the crane . Is there a way you could let
hte counter weight on the beam move in and out either same as the car/grab. or
maybe even independant of the car so you could adjust for heavier loads ? you
could extend the counter wieght side ( providing you have the parts) to the
same distance as the load side of the crane. giving you a total diameter for
rotation. Hmmm.. hope this made some sense. I just found Lugnet and I am not
used to posting. I have been a Lego Monkey sence I got a 8860 auto chassis as
a gift in 1981 and then had to buy another one to build a four wheel drive four
wheel independant suspension flat 6 indy style racer...not any good pictures of
that though.. Anyway< thanks for sharing the Pict of the crane !

| (...) Great idea John. Minneapolis is a sea of construction cranes right now, and I have been watching them work once in a while. There are several brands of cranes that do exactly this, they move counterweights in and out in syncronization with (...) (26 years ago, 3-Mar-99, to lugnet.build)
